The cause of death for Sika Anoa’i is unknown for now. Additionally, some sources claim that he passed away peacefully at the age of 79. The late wrestler was one-half of The Wild Samoans. The two brothers earned their induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007. Upon hearing the saddening news, the Stamford-based company uploaded a respectful parting message. The caption claimed that the promotion is saddened by the loss and offers sympathy for the friends, family members, and fans of the late superstar. Solo Sikoa uploaded this post on his Instagram story but did not add something extra to say about his family member.

The temporary Head of the Table let Sika Anoa’i have his moment with respect and did not want to add much to the story. While there would probably be something that he might need to say later on, he probably thinks that silence is the better option for now.

This is not the first time that Roman Reigns has lost someone close to him in the family.
The Tribal Chief lost his brother a few years ago
Roman Reigns had a brother who was also a wrestler much like most of the Anoa’i family. Rosey was his ring name in the leading wrestling promotion while his family members knew him by the name, Matthew Tapunu’u Anoa’i. Much like his father Sika, Rosey wrestled in several promotions around the globe and eventually also landed in WWE in the year 2001. He eventually enjoyed a fruitful tag-team stint with Hurricane and even wrestled his final match with him on July 9th, 2016.

The next year, the Anoa’i family suffered a tremendous loss on the 17th of April, 2017, when he was merely 47 years old. The late Samoan wrestler had heart problems due to which he had been previously hospitalized as well. However, the ultimate cause of his death was not revealed by the rest of the family, similar to how things have been for the wrestling legend, Sika Anoa’i.
Roman Reigns’ father’s death may have an impact on his professional hiatus as he could need some extra time to process the personal loss and grief. Our prayers go out to all the hearts affected by this loss.
