Drew McIntyre screwed by CM Punk again—Is it time for McIntyre to get his revenge?

WWE Money in the Bank came live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. Five action-packed matches were on the cards, and multiple opportunities were on the line. The men’s and women’s Money in the Bank matches would allow the winner a title shot. The Intercontinental Championship was on the line, and so was the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. A massive showdown between Cody Rhodes and Co. against The Bloodline 2.0 was set in a six-man tag team match. With so much on the line, the news that Uncle Howdy and the Wyatt 6 were lurking around didn’t help. Here are the results for WWE Money in the Bank 2024.

WWE Money in the Bank 6/07/2024

Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Drew McIntyre vs. LA Knight vs. Andrade vs. Jey Uso vs. Chad Gable vs. Carmelo Hayes

Winner: Drew McIntyre

The match started out with everyone going for the other. This left Jey Uso and LA Knight in the ring. Drew McIntyre was quick to get in and knock everyone out with a ladder. Some high-flying moves from Carmelo Hayes and Andrade popped the fans. Chad Gable showed off his strength with everyone. As the match continued, there were a ton of ladder spots that got the crowd chanting. Every man had a significant chance to show off their skills. Knight and Uso were the closest to reach the briefcase on multiple occasions. Gable was able to grab it but was left hanging as the ladder was removed. Uso tried again but was taken out by McIntyre with a flying ladder to the face. The match ended with the Scottish Warrior picking up the win.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker

Winner: Sami Zayn

The match saw Bron Breakker taking the lead against the Underdog Champion. While Zayn was resilient, Breakker went hard. Everything Breakker threw at Zayn weakened the Champion, only for Zayn to fire back up. While Zayn didn’t have much offense, he did counter a few moves. Both men showed that they learned from each other since their last encounter. Despite having the upper hand throughout the match and looking impressive, Zayn picked up the win and retained his title.

In-ring segment: John Cena came out to a standing ovation from the crowd in attendance. He called quits on his career but had a message for the WWE Universe and the locker room. Cena claimed that he would be starting his farewell tour. He said he feature from the Royal Rumble until WrestleMania 41 in 2025. This got a massive “Thank you Cena” chant from the fans and went viral on social media.

Backstage segment: Ahead of his match against Seth Rollins, Damian Priest was seen talking to Judgment Day. He instructed them not to interfere in his match. While everyone agreed to it, Finn Balor had a distinct look on his face.

WWE World Heavyweight Title Match: Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins

Winner: Damian Priest

With Drew McIntyre holding the MITB briefcase, it was clear that both men had to look out for McIntyre. Rollins and Priest didn’t waste time trying to hit big moves to end the match. However, both men were able to counter the other’s move. Looking strong, both men showed off their brilliant moves. Midway through the match, Drew McIntyre came out with the MITB briefcase. This shocked everyone as he cashed in, making the match a triple threat. Despite being fresh, Rollins kept McIntyre at bay. Soon, CM Punk came out to attack McIntyre. After multiple chair shots, Punk hit the Scottish Warrior with the title belt. This allowed Priest to hit South of Heaven for the win and retain his title.

Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match: Naomi vs. IYO SKY vs. Zoey Stark vs. Chelsea Green vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Tiffany Stratton

Winner: Tiffany Stratton

The match was a brilliant showcase of what the women could do as compared to the men. While the match did record a few botches, overall, it was impressive with some hard spots. Iyo Sky showed why she’s called the genius of the sky, and Zoey Stark went hard. Naomi and Chelsea Green hit some hard spots on the ladder and table. While Lyra Valkyria was close to winning, Tiffany Stratton proved it was Tiffy Time by winning the briefcase.

Main Event: Six-Man Tag Team Match: Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton vs. The Bloodline 2.0

Winner: The Bloodline 2.0

The match started with Cody Rhodes and his team trying to ensure Jacob Fatu did not get tagged. While they did have control, it soon changed as Fatu was tagged in. The Bloodline 2.0 saw Sikoa, Tonga, and Fatu take on team Rhodes. Sikoa and Fatu handled the latter half of the match. Both men took their time on Orton and Owens. Despite the hate, Sikoa proved himself in the ring. The match saw the tables turn on team Rhodes as the numbers game took over, and Tonga Loa got involved. Owens took the most of the damage. After a hot tag to Rhodes, the American Nightmare and Sikoa took it to each other. Once the referee was knocked out, all hell broke loose. With the aid of Loa, The Bloodline 2.0 was able to stand tall with a win over the babyfaces. Sikoa got the shocking pin on Rhodes.
