Roman Reigns losing control of the Bloodline—Is this the beginning of the end for his reign?

The Bloodline has been on a fascinating tear for a long. Following the massive beatdown of the Tribal Chief and family at the spectacular WrestleMania night, there had been doubts over the significance of the fan-favorite faction remaining the same. However, the company promptly pulled off a masterclass and put all doubts to rest. Solo Sikoa facilitated Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa’s entry into the family and changed the reality of the OG Bloodline. Jacob Fatu joined in a few weeks later. The formidable four of the new Bloodline continued spreading terror inside and outside the stable. Although Sikoa received a rub from the original Tribal Chief at SummerSlam night while he was on his mission to slay Cody Rhodes and bring the title home, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga clinched the gold as the new tag team champions. But this is certainly not it for the 41-year-old star. A new incident from last week, SmackDown called for another destiny for Tama Tonga.

The Bloodline has a well-documented history of betrayals. The humiliating trend started with Sami Zayn turning on Roman Reigns during the 2023 Royal Rumble PLE. In Reigns’ vicious attempt to destroy Kevin Owens, he wanted Zayn to show his loyalty to the family by delivering a chair shot to unconscious Owens. The Canadian star declined and hit the Big Dog with the steel chair instead. It was a checkpoint in history. The Usos walked the same path as well.

After months of buttering up their Tribal Chief and only receiving ridicule in return, the twins turned rebellious. Jimmy Uso cost Reigns a tag team victory over Sami Zayn-Kevin Owens at the infamous Night of Champions PLE. Shortly after, Jey Uso cut ties with his family too, ending an era of the Bloodline.

Last but not least, Solo Sikoa displayed his selfishness as he took the chair of the faction in Reigns’ absence. While there have been wide rumors that the Usos will reunite with the Big Dog and help him combat the new foe in the house, we may get a stronger foe in the future. Tama Tonga, 42, is slyly gearing up for his turn.

On last week’s SmackDown, the former Bullet Club member was seen greedily looking at the Ula Fala (The traditional Samoan necklace for the king) while handing it over to Solo Sikoa. The segment unsurprisingly made fans ponder over what’s brewing under the cover.

Have an interesting take?

Solo Sikoa once again boasted about his new Tribal Chief status and called out Roman Reigns to get the Ula Fala from him, if he could. Reigns accepted the challenge and put on his boots to claim the necklace back. He almost sized up Sikoa with another pair of Superman punches and a spear, but Tama Tonga saved his Tribal Chief. During the chaos, the Ula Fala remained there on the stage. When Reigns found it and took it to his custody temporarily, Tonga struck hard and got it back. After looking deep at it for a few seconds, he rushed to give it to Sikoa. The segment resembled an old Solo Sikoa segment when he similarly looked at the necklace with envy. Fans connected the dots all too well.

Solo Sikoa as the Tribal chief didn’t sit well with fans since the very beginning. His emulation of Roman Reigns bored fans to the core. They wholeheartedly want the real boss back. But wait, if Tama Tonga takes Sikoa’s place, it might not invite a backlash. Tonga’s esteemed past achievements and individuality could add legitimacy to his claims.
