Is WWE making a mistake by not choosing Solo Sikoa for WrestleMania 40 against Roman Reigns?

Roman Reigns has been in the headlines since his grand SummerSlam return and so is Solo Sikoa, along with him. They have already started a deeply personal feud on SmackDown, but this storyline has only just begun. We don’t yet know when Roman Reigns will have assumed full control of The Bloodline again. However, if you wished to see a showdown between the two stars at WrestleMania 41, it may not happen.

According to the critics of the industry, pitching Solo Sikoa against Roman Reigns for a match at the Show of Shows isn’t the best idea. The co-host of the Busted Open Podcast voiced his opinion on the same.

The Original Tribal Chief did not return without a target. He showed up at SummerSlam only to attack Solo Sikoa at first sight. Then the SmackDown following was also an interesting sight to behold. This clearly shows that a showdown between Roman Reigns and the rogue Bloodline is bound to happen, but Justin LaBar thinks that it shouldn’t happen at the upcoming Mania. The podcaster came across a report claiming that Roman Reigns is likely facing Solo Sikoa on the Grandest Stage of Them All. “That ain’t it. I don’t see myself buying Roman versus Solo as we stand right now. Roman has come out, made an impact at SummerSlam to Solo, said LaBar during the podcast.

There is a chance that this feud may not extend up till WrestleMania 41 and instead get wrapped up by the end of 2024. Moreover, the podcast co-host probably doesn’t think that Roman Reigns facing Solo Sikoa at Mania would be worth it. There is one matchup that may interest you, though.

Will Reigns’ older cousin revive an old feud?

Dwayne Johnson is popular for overshadowing other stars on the roster whenever he returns. This year, fans were worried that he may take over the feud originally planned between Roman Reigns and his biggest rival. Things turned around for good, but Johnson was still involved in the event. Chances are, he may return for WrestleMania 41 and claim his spot at the “head of the table” now if the Original Tribal Chief isn’t involved in any other big storylines by that time. This was teased this year before fans turned on The Rock, making him a heel. Since the former WWE Universal champion may be becoming a babyface now, it would make sense for a feud to take place.

Long ago, co-hosts on the Busted Open Podcast claimed that The Brahma Bull’s gimmick will stay unwavering as it is. This is because they believed that fans did not get bored of his heel stint. So, WWE doesn’t have any reasons to make the Final Boss a ‘good guy’. When Roman Reigns has claimed his throne back, Dwayne Johnson may be the next big bad that he has to face. This is a WrestleMania idea that some fans might like and would want to see. How the story will unfold is yet to be seen though.
