Is Solo Sikoa ready to step up as the new Wiseman, or is he out of his depth?

The hardest truth to swallow in the current Bloodline dynamic is that Paul Heyman is no longer the Wiseman of the family. The veteran Hall of Famer had been showing utter dissatisfaction under Sikoa’s stewardship, which eventually culminated in him rejecting the former Right-Hand man as the new Tribal Chief in a decisive SmackDown episode. It unsurprisingly piqued Sikoa and his team, who turned on Heyman and forced him to leave the arena on a stretcher. While the segment pissed the OG Bloodline fans off, the most neutral tone of judging raises an obvious question: who will replace Paul Heyman in the family?

While Heyman’s contribution to Roman Reigns and the family remains unmatched, the real-life Bloodline member, Rikishi, has volunteered to be on that path amidst the ongoing rumors of him stepping in to take the role.

Rikishi’s Bloodline allegiance has been a long topic of discussion that got further triggered after Heyman’s exclusion from his post. The veteran previously noted that he, as the new Wiseman might make sense, but if anything that stops him from stepping out is the rigorous travel schedule that the job will entail. In another episode of his podcast, “Off the Top”, Rikishi elaborated on his stance even more.

“We need to get the best out of Jacob by booking him the right way. And so would I be interested? Of course, I would, you know, but I’m not, you know, it just has to work, you know, for both sides, you know,” Rikishi began when asked about the prospect of him taking on the role of Wiseman.

However, Rikishi expressed his concerns about the hectic travel schedule that would come with the role. “I’m at a part of my life, it’s like more than wrestling to me now. You know, I’ve been there, done that for the 30-something years, you know, dedicated my life to the professional wrestling industry of. If the demands of being a part of the bloodline, if in case it comes to the point where I need to be on the road a lot, then, then I’m not kind of interested. Because I want to be able to, you know, dedicate my life now to catch up a lot of time that I’ve lost,” the 58-year-old confessed.

Moving ahead, Jey Uso will be the happiest if his father changes his mind ever and considers joining the faction to bring the best out of it.

Jey Uso hopes for a Rikishi segment with the Bloodline

Rikishi was widely expected to be a part of Jimmy Uso’s match at WrestleMania 40, but he didn’t show up. Given the match was between his two sons, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso, his brief presence could have made the hearts race faster. But fans didn’t get to see the veteran anywhere. Explaining the reason for his absence, the elder twin, Jey Uso, noted that the role WWE offered him, demanded a lot of physical tenacity, something his father doesn’t possess at this age.

But then Uso revealed he always wanted to see his dad involved in the Bloodline storyline no matter if it’s as a referee or a go-home promo or anything of that sort. While last time he couldn’t make it, Uso believes, “there might be another time for it”.
