Is Solo Sikoa trying to outshine Roman Reigns, or is he just paying homage to the Tribal Chief?

Solo Sikoa continues to be a copycat. Ever since Reigns received a massive defeat at the hands of Cody Rhodes, at WrestleMania 40, the Big Dog kept us waiting for his next in-ring appearance, and meanwhile, Sikoa, the former Right-Hand Man, grasped the mantle and came out as the new Tribal Chief. He introduced Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu in the faction back to back and turned on the Wiseman to the point of throwing him out of the family.

But apart from all the work he has done, the most captivating is emulating the Tribal Chief on TV. From demanding his Ula Fala necklace to donning the same brand’s shoe, Sikoa oozed out a lot of Roman Reigns vibe lately. SmackDown 7/12 was no different.

Tonight on SmackDown WWE built up the Undisputed WWE Championship match for the SummerSlam PLE 2024. Starting with Sikoa’s fiery promo, where he reminded everyone to acknowledge him as the Tribal Chief by warning to give Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman a treat in case of any refusal, the momentum reached up the Bloodline once again destroying the baby face trios of Randy Orton and Cody Rhoads following their defeat at Money in the Bank. After establishing their dominance once again, the Bloodline made some terrifying gestures on camera. While Tama Tonga making weird noises, Solo Sikoa carried off a callback to the Roman Reigns promo. He exactly uttered the same words, (this is my story, this is my show, I run it all) with the same self-obsessive energy.

However, amidst all the chaos, the most noticeable thing was the build-up of the Undisputed Universal WWE Championship match.

Is Solo Sikoa trying to outshine Roman Reigns, or is he just paying homage to the Tribal Chief?

Cody Rhodes agreed to face Sikoa for the WWE Undisputed championship match at SummerSlam. He stated that Nick Aldis’s absence on SmackDown tonight meant that the official announcement wouldn’t be coming. However, the WWE Universal champion remarked that Sikoa should take it as official. Following this, The American Nightmare hastily proceeded to get things done tonight instead, which resulted in another Bloodline assault upon him and the Viper.

The last time Rhodes and Bloodline met in the ring was during WrestleMania 40, where the vicious faction received a defeat. Given how the new Tribal Chief promised to bring it back to the family at the SmackDown before the Money in the Bank., it will be riveting to see how and when he proves his words right, giving a new direction to the Bloodline storyline.
