For the professional wrestling fans, last week was a crazy emotional rollercoaster ride. Fans around the globe witnessed massive returns over the weekend and many still celebrating. Although ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch made her return at the SummerSlam PPV, people are still hungover on the returns of Brock Lesnar and CM Punk.

Yes, you read it right!. These returns happened over the weekend.

‘The Best in the World’ CM Punk made his gigantic return on an episode of AEW Rampage: ‘The First Dane’ to a huge pop and Brock Lesnar made his comeback at SummerSlam on Saturday in Vegas.

But it seems like Lesnar’s return overshadowed the massive return of CM Punk. That’s what the internet says at least.

Brock Lesnar is more popular than CM Punk on the internet

On WWE’s official Instagram handle, the returning Brock Lesnar post gathered more than a staggering 3 million views in 24 hours; meanwhile, on AEW’s official Instagram handle of Punk’s return has gathered only half a million views since last week’s Friday.

The difference in these numbers speaks volumes about the fan base between the two companies. Now, while this is not directly linked to wrestlers’ popularity; but WWE is way ahead of AEW in terms of social media engagement.

Now, it is very unlikely that we will see Lesnar on a weekly basis standing against Roman Reigns in the same ring, but it will be a fun rivalry to witness.
