Roman Reigns is arguably one of the most influential Superstars in WWE today. The road for him was the same as the rest, and he had a hard time getting to where it is.

However, “The Big Dog” feels lonely on top of his golden throne. The lack of Superstars at the same level as him deeply bothers Reigns.

In a recent interview on After the Bell, the WWE Universal Champion highlighted the way talents can fight for the bug pushes to the top.

“It’s consistency, man. I mean there’s a lotta different things that create the algorithm or whatever,” said Reigns. “You know, like different pillars but really it’s-you gotta hold on to the ball man.”

“You know when they tell you that analogy-don’t drop the ball, take everything you’ve got, you gotta really run the ball and it’s gotta show in every way and it’s gotta show obviously to the performance. It’s gotta show backstage with how you handle it, how you handle working your way up l, how you treat people and I think a huge one which- I think it’s a popularity contest,” says Reigns.

Roman Reigns emphasizes on the need for consistency

Reigns claims that the picking of Superstars from the talent pool is very complicated. He adds that one has to fight to be the best.

“The numbers have to back you up You have to be able to draw better ratings. You gotta be a light machine. They gotta be hitting that button on the Internet.” explains Reigns. “There’s a lot of things especially nowadays you know, where the top executives, they’re all looking at these spreadsheets of this and that, social media likes and how much attention this is getting, how many views, all of this stuff.”

Bringing it back home to a similar thing that Edge said, Reigns explained how all the skills wouldn’t help you if you didn’t have the main ingredient.

“But right where it’s about the numbers, there’s gotta be that substance behind it. When it’s you on camera, when it’s all on you, when we put all our resources and we spend all that money for those seconds of time to broadcast you, whether it’s Fox or USA, it has to be here. That ‘it’ has to be there and it can’t just be the one night”.
