Royal Rumble winner Edge opened SmackDown with a promo about his WrestleMania decision, The Ultimate Opportunist paused his decision till after the Elimination Chamber, but he has already given heavy consideration to one potential opponent.

Roman Reigns is the obvious opponent of choice for the Rated-R Superstar. Reigns flattened Edge with a devastating spear at the end of the show, making the WrestleMania main event quite obvious. However, Edge might have a fellow Canadian superstar in mind for the Show of Shows.

Kevin Owens ran into Edge backstage at SmackDown, where the two engaged in a light conversation. Edge reminded Owens that they are alike, as they get knocked down but get back up. The last two months have been hell for Owens, but he is determined to beat Roman Reigns and head to WrestleMania.

Edge wished Owens luck before saying, “It’d be good to face you at ‘Mania.”

Owens simply acknowledged the Hall of Famer’s words before he went along his way.

Elimination Chamber predictions

Kevin Owens is surely not winning the Elimination Chamber match this Sunday. Despite Roman Reigns‘ cheap methods of eeking out a win, Owens is no longer an exciting opponent for Reigns. Reigns desperately needs a new opponent for the Elimination Chamber.

Whoever wins the Chamber match is going to have a tough time dealing with the Tribal Chief. After facing five of the best, one Superstar will walk out of the Chamber and walk back into the ring to face the Universal Champion.

Cesaro is a perfect match for Reigns. Brute force and Samoan wrestling acumen vs brute force and European fluidity of wrestling will be on display.

Daniel Bryan will also make a fine opponent for the Tribal Chief, but fans would want to see that match with Bryan at 100%, and not after a debilitating Chamber match.
