Hulk Hogan is undoubtedly considered one of the greatest among all the globally recognized wrestlers. Hogan has achieved almost everything in the field of professional wrestling throughout his decade-long career. While his Hollywood endeavors couldn’t offer him equal exposure, it at least stands somewhere close to it.

Since making his debut in the glamor world back in 1970, Hogan has been a part of numerous Hollywood projects. In fact, his forays into the industry earned him popularity.

Hulk Hogan received massive appreciation from co-star Kurt Fuller for his rare quality

Hogan is the one who made McMahon realize that WWE could be much more than just a wrestling promotion. Hogan’s acting career started to take off with ‘No Holds Barred’, an over-the-top WWE-produced 80s movie.

Every Hulk Hogan fan perhaps holds a special place for the nostalgic Rip Thomas character, played by the Hulkster. That said, not only fans but also Hogan’s co-actor in the movie, Kurt Fuller seems not to be over the character, especially with the former WWE Champion’s remarkable acting skill.

Fuller, 69, recently appeared in an interview with The Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling. He discussed his experience working with the legendary WWE star.

Praising Hogan’s not so talked about acting prowess, the actor noted, ”He’s a true professional and has a lot of charisma. It was like the first time he ever acted. He did, especially for the first time, a very good job. What he had that most people, people like me, never have is the kind of charisma that, you can’t take your eyes off him when he’s there. You’re drawn to him. It’s a very rare thing.”

Terming Hogan one of the best among his co-stars, Fuller continued, “I like him. He sold the character very well. Believe me, I’ve worked with a lot of first-time actors, and he was among the best first-time actors I’ve worked with. He was a good guy.”

However, the actor had to fall victim to Hogan’s usual urge as a wrestler on the set of the same movie.

Hulk Hogan almost killed Kurt Fuller during the filming of No Holds Barred

Long before playing Suburban Commando, Mr. Nany, Hogan played Rip Thomas, a WWE champion when he was completely a novice in his craft. He couldn’t help resembling his wrestling self in the set.

There was a scene when Kurt, as Tom Brell, the infamous executive, had to offer Hogan a huge amount of money to hire him for his own network. Hogan was supposed to perform the scene of shoving the check to his throat after that. But Hogan did it for real instead of faking and it brought almost a near-death experience for Fuller.

The actor noted in a previous interview, ”He shoved the check down my throat and I almost died. I mean, it was stuck in my windpipe and they had to go in and pull it out”

However, Hogan became visibly better and more experienced as an actor in later years and garnered a lot of appreciation for the same.
