The NXT Women’s Division is one of the greatest in all of professional wrestling. Last year, the women from NXT brought some extraordinary matches to our screens as the world fought the COVID-19 pandemic. Two women who led the pack were Io Shirai and Shotzi Blackheart.
Speaking of Shotzi Blackheart, she had a wonderful 2020. Although she did not win any titles during this time, she definitely grew a lot as a performer, and her stats prove just that!

Shotzi Blackheart wrestled the most matches in NXT Women’s Division in 2020
The ‘Ballsy Badass’ recently tweeted an interesting fact. She revealed she had the most matches in the women’s division in NXT last year. Shotzi said she was proud of herself, and her first year on the black and gold brand couldn’t be any better.
Was just told I had the most matches in the @WWENXT women’s roster last year. 💪💪 proud of that. What a surreal first year.

Shotzi Blackheart wrestled 34 matches in 2020. She won 16 and lost 18 with a win percentage of 47.1%. Now that’s really impressive for the first year.
Blackheart made her NXT debut in late 2019 in a losing effort against Bianca Belair. Her first match for NXT in 2020 was a battle royal where she eliminated Shayna Baszler.
Not just that, but Shotzi Blackheart also entered the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble and lasted until the final 7! Shotzi continued growing as a performer every week.
She challenged for the Women’s Tag Team Championship as well as the NXT Women’s Championship. However, she came up short.
Despite losing title matches, Shotzi did not let it hamper her inside the ring. She kept up with her performances and had some really entertaining feuds last year, one of which is still on with The Way.
Shotzi Blackheart definitely improved greatly over this one year. She showed her mettle inside the WarGames match, and her gimmick is unlike any other. We feel Shotzi is a star in the making and would be a major asset of the WWE’s Women’s Division in the years to come.

As far as her 2021 is concerned, it has started off with a bang. Yes, she may have lost the NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles to The Way recently, but overall, it’s awesome.
The momentum she is riding on will definitely get her into the main event picture by the end of this year. And who knows? Maybe, she will continue this record for most matches in 2021 too!
