Triple H has been away from NXT 2.0 and the squared circle because of his ongoing health issues. The legendary wrestler suffers from genetic heart disease, due to which he had to undergo surgery earlier in 2021. The operation was successful, and HHH is resting now.
Paul Levesque is expected to make a full recovery. He updated the WWE universe on his health through his Twitter. He said that the support he received from everyone blew him away.

In Triple H’s absence, Shawn Michaels has been running NXT 2.0, as he confirmed in an interview with Sports Illustrated. While Michaels seems to do a great job, it is unknown when the chief man of NXT will return.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer provided an update on The King of Kings. This update came after a video of him visiting a construction site surfaced with Vince and Stephanie.
On the construction site video, Dave said, “He was cited… Vince McMahon and other executives were there, they’re moving into a new office building, and he was there while they were doing some work on it.”

Unfortunately, the bad news is that no one knows when he will return.
“But he’s pretty much out of it (the day-to-day operations). His situation, without going into detail on it, it was very serious. He’s not back. He’s around, and he can talk to people, but there’s a lot of stress in doing what he was doing. I don’t know when he’ll be back.” Meltzer noted.

Triple H never expected to wrestle again.
Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently provided another major update on Triple H regarding his wrestling career. They have noted that it is unlikely we will ever see The Game wrestle in a squared circle again.
Speaking on star attractions left in WWE, Meltzer said, “They (WWE) also don’t have those special attractions except he (Goldberg) and Lesnar and Edge (and Shane McMahon, who is still under a talent contract).”

“I doubt Paul Levesque will be wrestling and Undertaker is done, although Undertaker and Austin are on huge money deals (as Ric Flair was) just to keep them part of the promotion ‘forever.'”
It sounds like Triple H is done with professional wrestling in the ring, and for a good reason. While we have seen many people return from the most severe injuries, like Edge, Daniel Bryan, and Nikki Bella, HHH’s damage seems very serious.

However, there is no doubt that he will be back at NXT as soon as he is healthier and run it alongside his best friend.
