In just a few days, WWE Universe will witness the barnburner of a battle between two powerhouses of the women’s division, Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez. The duo has been at odds for months. And everyone knows, as well as Rhea Ripley, that Raquel Rodriguez is nothing like the opponents she has faced in the past. 

In fact, in the go-home edition of Raw, Raquel Rodriguez showed exactly why she is unrivaled in terms of size and strength in the women’s division. The WWE Universe expressed their fervor over the upcoming match at Payback. 

Rhea Ripley gets dismantled by Raquel Rodriguez on Raw

The rivalry between Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez became personal after the former victimized Rodriguez’s tag team partner, Liv Morgan. The Eradicator is now set to defend her Women’s World Heavyweight Championship against The Latina powerhouse at Payback. 

On Raw, Rhea Ripley made her way to the ring, flanked by Dominik Mysterio, to explain to the crowd why she would retain her Championship at Payback. Ripley even claimed that Rodriguez was a fool to think that she could dethrone her this Saturday. 

Soon enough, Raquel Rodriguez made a beeline for the ring, and the duo gave the fans a teaser of what was to come at Payback. Surprisingly, their physical confrontation was entirely one-sided. 

Rhea Ripley, who has never been witnessed being overpowered by another female competitor, ended up getting dominated. Raquel scooped Ripley up with ease and sent her flying out of the ring with a fallaway slam. 

As expected, Dominik tried to distract Rodriguez so Ripley could take advantage. However, the distraction had no effect. In fact, the 32-year-old star countered The Rip Tide with a hip toss, followed by a powerful clothesline.

Subsequently, Ripley retreated from the ring while Rodriguez stood tall. The upcoming match is, hands down, one of the most highly anticipated matches to take place at Payback. The WWE Universe took to Twitter to express their excitement over the preview of Payback on Raw.

The undeniable truth that both women are among the largest and most powerful female fighters on the roster ensures an exciting and impactful match. In addition, fans have been clamoring to see Rhea Ripley defend her Women’s World Title. 

The Australian star last defended her title against Natalya on the July 3rd edition of Raw. The WWE Universe was also disappointed to see no title defense take place at SummerSlam. Anyway, by the looks of things, not only is Ripley going to defend her championship, but she is also at risk of losing it.

Fans stormed Twitter, quick with their reactions to this sneak peek of Saturday’s highly anticipated matchup.

The way things went, their upcoming showdown is a guaranteed banger.

At this point, Raquel seems to be the only woman who has the ability to overpower Rhea Ripley.

Nonetheless, we will have to wait and see what happens on Payback. Will Raquel Rodriguez dethrone Rhea Ripley? Or will WWE milk more matches out of their rivalry? A lot remains to be seen.
