Sasha Banks had been a notable name in WWE’s women’s division. The female wrestler, along with her partner Naomi, walked out of WWE in 2022 and was eventually suspended. Banks then went her own separate way and joined New Japan Pro Wrestling. Now Sasha Banks performs in Japanese pro wrestling promotions under the ring name ‘Mercedes Mone’.

Mone defended her IWGP champion title in a recent match against two other challengers. After a successful defense, the wrestler went on to deliver a promo. However, wrestling fans over the internet weren’t impressed by her mic work and decided to take a dig at Mone.

Banks signed with NJPW in 2023. The female wrestler did not find success the hard way in Japan, as she won the title soon after her joining. The wrestler even defended her title successfully. This was her ticket to appear in NJPW’s sister promotion’s upcoming production, ‘Stardom All-Star Grand Queendom’. Banks then delivered a promo against her future opponent Mayu Iwatani, but the American wrestling fans couldn’t find a reason to appreciate her on-screen time.

While some fans criticize her dialogue delivery, others point troll her ‘brand new’ look.

It is pretty evident that fans are not finding the hook in Banks’ performance ever since she left the American promotion.

A few people also paid attention to how Banks has repeatedly used a particular curse word in a lot of her promos. Even after switching countries and promotions, this word has constantly stayed with her.

WWE fans have been hoping to see her get back in the Stamford-based promotion for quite some time but to no avail. Ever since she left last year, there was huge speculation about her future, which ended when she showed up at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom event earlier this year. And now with Vince McMahon reportedly back in the creative, there could be even less chance of Mone returning to WWE.

In any case, Banks would be away from the internal matters of WWE as she builds her career further in Japan. Fans can witness her going up against Mayu Iwatani at the upcoming ‘All-Star Grand Queendom’ event on April 23rd.
