“She’s Been Dodging Me”: Becky Lynch Wants to Wrestle 42-Year-Old WWE Legend in a First-Time Ever Match Before She Hangs Up Her Boots

Among the many top-notch women wrestlers that WWE has, Becky Lynch is undoubtedly near the top of the list. In her long wrestling career, she has accomplished a lot. Be it the main eventing premium live events of WWE or winning several titles, she has done it all. However, her one wish to wrestle another wrestler still seems to have not been accomplished. 

With mastery of the skill comes the passion to challenge other marvelous performers in the industry. Similarly, Lynch has also been eyeing one such performer whom she wants to wrestle for years now. However, it hasn’t been possible till now. So, ‘The Man’ decided to publicize her wishes openly. 

Becky Lynch reveals her wrestling bucket list

Speaking to Mark Andrews in a recent interview, Lynch revealed two of her close-to-heart wishes that many of her fans wouldn’t know of. During the conversation, she highlighted her performances in Money in the Bank Ladder matches, which has failed to win.

She said, “I do want to win the Money in the Bank briefcase before it’s all said and done…”Adding to this, she also named the three-time WWE Women’s Champion Beth Phoenix as her dream opponent. Lynch stated, “And also wrestle Beth Phoenix. I’ve been trying to get her for years. She’s been dodging me.”

Coming from the Irish wrestler herself, it shows how badly she wants to face the Hall of Fame legend. However, this isn’t the first time that Lynch has expressed this wish of hers.

Over the years, in several moments, she has teased a feud with Beth Phoenix. But unfortunately, this clash has never turned into reality. 

However, one must not lose hope for this dream match, as there can be a turn of events any day.

The Man is always down to fight with her dream opponent

Being one of the best heels in the business, Big Time Becks has always been upfront for taking challenges. Especially when it’s Phoenix on the other side. Even back in 2021, when rumors of a mixed inter-gender tag team match between Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and Edge and Beth Phoenix surfaced, The Man addressed it. 

In response, she said, “I’m down for it, but I don’t fancy their [Edge and Beth] chances that they wanna come at us. I think I’ll beat her, if she wants to come back, I’ll beat her.”

It was recently seen that Phoenix came down to help his husband in a mixed tag team match against Finn Bálor and Rhea Ripley at the WWE Elimination Chamber. 

That being said, fans can hope for Becky Lynch’s wish to come true any day in the future before Phoenix hangs her boots once and for all.
