Indeed, Dwayne Johnson’s shocking return was by far a show-stealer. The 51-year-old shockingly appeared and made Jinder Mahal his prey. More startling were the final few moments of the promo when he took a subtle jibe at Roman Reigns. While many got up from their seats, an aspect of WWE was also unable to hide her emotions on the ringside.

Samantha Irvin gained the notice of Dwayne Johnson

Not only the fans, but the ring announcer, Samantha Irvin, could not hide her emotions when she saw that The Rock had come back to San Diego. She couldn’t help but scream in shock when Dwayne Johnson’s music hit the Pechanga Arena. Now, it seems her reaction sparked the attention of the 51-year-old, as he himself reacted to that on Instagram.

He added a caption to the clip, which said,  “That “IF YA SMELLL” Rock music just hits the soul differently – especially when it’s a surprise”  The clip makes it apparent how big Dwayne Johnson’s return was. He further wrote, “Awesome reaction from @samanthairvinwwe, who’s doing an amazing job on the mic for @wwe! She’s a bad ass!” 

‘The People’s Champ’ himself praised the reaction of Irvin and even hailed her for her prowess in the WWE. It seemed as though it was a truly natural reaction, and his return could have caught anyone off-guard. But did you know? With that Dwayne Johnson achieved a massive feat on social media.

Dwayne Johnson became the talk of the town in the WWE yet again. His head-turning return clip amassed more than 171 million views across WWE’s social media platforms so far. Because of this, ‘DJ’ broke the massive record of CM Punk, who garnered 40 million views in the same period.
