Brock Lesnar received a monster push soon after his debut in 2002. He was the hottest WWE superstar during his first run in the company. However, that was the same time when his wife Sable, aka Rena Greek, was in her second run with the company. After her controversial exit from the Stamford-based company, a WWE legend recently recalled signing her back. 

The 71-year-old legend, who was the head of talent relations for a long time, praised Sable’s skills and called her a “keeper”.

In the recent episode of Grilling Jr., WWE legend Jim Ross shared his thoughts on signing Sable back to WWE in 2003. He recalled being a bit concerned, but things worked out great, and also praised her for the skills she possessed.

Ross said, “I was kind of concerned about how well we would be able to negotiate a deal and what her demands were because she knew what she was worth. She knew what she was worth. And we knew that from a merchandise standpoint, we could probably get a return on the investment on that merch.

The current AEW commentator added, “She was a great cameo person. She was great to do a walk-on, a recurring role on television. Because she still has that great appeal. She was a beautiful woman. She had great charisma and had that animal magnetism, shall we say? Because she was a hit. She was a keeper. And I for one was glad that she came back.”

JR further reminisced how it was difficult for him to negotiate with Chyna, but easy to sign Sable. As per the 71-year-old, Sable, the former Women’s Champion, wanted to make things right after her controversial exit in 1999.

Greek returned in April 2003, and after some time was in a program with Vince and Stephanie McMahon. The former WWE Women’s Champion was in the company until August 2004. Post that, she was seen in NJPW with her husband Brock Lesnar for some time and since then she has been away from the wrestling world.

Sable once shared details of living with Brock Lesnar away from the limelight

Every WWE fan is aware that Lesnar and Sable live a private life away from the limelight. Once, in an interview with Rachelle Leah in 2008, Sable made an unbelievable confession about their relationship.

The 55-year-old claimed she and Lesnar don’t have internet as it is a huge waste of time for them. Moreover, she added how practicing this had made their life easier back then, in 2008. However, several years later today things might be different in the Lesnar household.
