The WWE women’s division has seen many talented stars. However, it is in recent years that this division has taken to new heights. With the likes of Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bayley, and many more, the division now become one of the mainstays in WWE. With the addition of Ronda Rousey the division became even more popular. Recently, RAW superstar, Raquel Rodriguez shared her thoughts about 32-year-old star Ronda Rousey. She talked about her WWE experience with Rousey and how she cares and wants a lot for the women’s division.
Rodriguez on Rousey’s persona
Talking with ESPR, Rodriguez had some praise for Rousey. “Ronda carries herself like a superstar, and she’s great. I’ve had only positive interactions with her,” Rodriguez remarked. Further on she also complimented Rousey on her transition from MMA to pro wrestling.

Rodriguez also mentioned Rousey’s efforts for the women’s division. “Moreover, she’s been generous in helping us, the other women in the division, grow and succeed. She has a genuine desire to see the women’s division in WWE flourish.” hinting at her efforts to improve the division. She also added, “She wants a lot for the women in the division; I will say that. She does care about the women’s division for WWE.” This is in contrast to what she said about Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley.
Rodriguez said that Ripley hasn’t helped the Women’s division since becoming champion. Though these words are likely in line with the current storyline as she is feuding with Mami.
When asked about her one-on-one matches against the Rowdy One, she expressed her pride by saying, “I’m really proud of those two matches we had for the women’s title.”

She further went on to say how the experience working with Rousey was. She admitted that Rousey made her raise her game as she is an exceptional athlete. Ronda Rousey was one of the top-notch UFC athletes before she came to WWE in 2018.

Ronda Rousey joined WWE in 2018 after leaving UFC in 2016. She had an impressive initial stint as the Raw Women’s Champion. Ronda Rousey left WWE after her first loss at WrestleMania 35 but made a surprising return in 2022 during the Royal Rumble, where she emerged victorious, marking the start of her second run.

During her second tenure, Rousey achieved success with two SmackDown Women’s Championship wins and one WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship reign. She remained with WWE for over 18 months but is now reportedly departing to pursue other interests. Her recent loss to Shayna Baszler is seen as her final match in the promotion in her second run.
