Ronda Rousey is now a major star in WWE. Following her return at WWE Royal Rumble 2022, the WWE Universe once again got to see The Baddest Woman on the Planet.
Though she has not been in WWE for several years, she has made a name for herself in this pro wrestling business. But prior to signing for WWE, Rousey enjoyed success in the UFC.
Thus, she is not a stranger to the top UFC stars, including current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Julianna Peña.

What did Julianna Peña say about Ronda Rousey?
In the interview with Sports Illustrated, Julianna Peña talked about Ronda Rousey becoming the inaugural UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion.
She said, “When Dana White allowed women into the UFC, he just handed Ronda a belt. At that point, I’m on The Ultimate Fighter. When I came out as the winner, I was ready to face Ronda.”
Peña also talked about an interaction between her and Ronda Rousey. The current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion claimed Ronda told her she will give her a tougher fight than Miesha Tate. But unfortunately, these two women never faced each other as Julianna Peña tore out her knee in 2014.
But when she returned from the injury, Ronda Rousey left UFC. She noted, “When I came back, she lost and ran off and hasn’t come back.”
