“She is Unbelievable” – Shawn Michaels Compares WWE NXT Star Dakota Kai to Himself

Shawn Michaels is a professional wrestling legend who needs no introduction. The WWE Hall of Famer is one of the greatest ever. His wrestling style, promos, and even selling inside the ring were unlike any other. In fact, that is what made him stand out as a top star amongst all the big, mighty men in WWE.

May it be taking a beating as a face or a heel, Michaels nailed both versions of his character. And he feels that there is someone in NXT who reminds him of his former self.

Shawn Michaels showers high praise on Dakota Kai

In a recent interview with Justin Barraso of Sports Illustrated, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels had a lot of praise for the current NXT roster. However, there was one Superstar who got more praise than others from the ‘Heartbreak Kid.’

HBK said, “We have an incredibly talented roster, especially our women, but look at Dakota, she’s a special one. Let’s use the WarGames match [from December] as an example. Look at the a—kicking she took, bouncing around and getting back. That’s an art, and she’s mastering it.”

Michaels continued, “What you see Dakota doing, I always pictured myself in that role because I wanted to Ping-Pong around the ring for my opponent,” he said. “That’s one of the reasons I became who I became in the business, so watching Dakota, I am so impressed.”

Shawn Michaels also added that he feels Dakota Kai is a big time workhorse, and she has helped the current NXT Women’s Champion, Raquel Gonzalez, propel as a wrestler.

“She is unbelievable, and doesn’t think twice about the sacrifice that is involved and necessary. She works to the hilt, which is hard not to like and appreciate,” he concluded.

Dakota Kai is currently alongside Raquel Gonzalez, but we feel she will soon turn on her bestfriend and challenge for her title. The New Zealander has been in NXT for almost three years now and grown significantly as a top star in the NXT Women’s Division.
