Lita is the first name that comes to everyone’s mind whenever they talk about the evolution of women’s professional wrestling. The 4 times women’s champion was one of the first women in the professional wrestling industry who performed high-flying moves inside the ring. Her in-ring ability and engaging storylines provoked strong reactions from fans.

Several young women wrestlers naturally take the Hall of Famer as an inspiration. However, another WWE Hall of Famer and her fellow wrestler Trish Stratus didn’t think the same.

Trish Stratus takes a shot at Lita

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus appeared on the latest episode of Corey Graves’ podcast ‘After the Bell’. During the podcast, a segment came when Stratus took a shot at her fellow Hall of Famer Lita. 

Stratus said that whenever someone talks about the evolution of women’s professional wrestling, they always mention her and Lita, but was Lita really there? The WWE Hall of Famer continued that when Lita was suffering from a broken neck, she was the one who was breaking the records and consistently making her presence known for the good of women’s wrestling.

She even mentioned that she had to deliver a message to the world and on the April 10, 2023 episode of Monday Night Raw, she did that perfectly.

Taling to the host, Trish Stratus said, “Was it me and Lita? I mean was it, or was it me? I’d want to look back specifically……I’m pretty sure she had a broken neck most of the time I was there breaking records, doing the rounds, press conferences, being on the cons, and the loop, so to speak….you know……I feel like….like I said…… I have to clearly deliver a message, and that was the best way for me to do that.”

Two weeks ago, Trish Stratus attacked Becky Lynch and Lita and delivered a decisive message to the women’s division. Fans expressed their shock in witnessing the scenario but a WWE superstar had already predicted the series of events before WrestleMania 39.

A former WWE champion predicted the betrayal

WWE fans were in shock when they saw Trish Stratus attacking Becky Lynch on Monday Night Raw two weeks ago. They were getting out of shock when Stratus dropped another bomb by revealing that she was the mysterious attacker who injured Lita backstage. However, WWE superstar The Miz already dropped a hint about the betrayal during a segment of ‘Miz TV’.

Post WrestleMania 39, the WWE Universe saw the classic heel, Trish Stratus, again after 18 years. And seems like her charm is still there as she didn’t hesitate to trash-talk her fellow wrestlers. And Stratus did the same when she took a shot at WWE Hall of Famer Lita.
