Shayna Baszler Has a New Best Friend After Sending Ronda Rousey Away From WWE

There was an unbreakable bond between wrestling heavyweights Ronda Rousey and her bestie Shayna Baszler. That was until Shayna felt like she was being used by Rousey to do all her dirty work.

Hence she betrayed her, thus costing them their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Later she challenged her to an MMA Rules match at SummerSlam which she won rather convincingly. Although it’s just been a few days since her victory, Baszler has already proclaimed her new bestie in the WWE.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler’s friendship goes back to their MMA days when they were part of the ‘Four Horsewomen’ group. Both these women won lots of accolades in MMA with Rousey being the first UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship. Baszler won the FCF Women’s Bantamweight Grand Prix Championship during her MMA career.

Then they both later transitioned to wrestling with Rousey making her entry first into the WWE in 2018 followed by Baszler in 2020. Baszler was finally drafted to SmackDown in 2021 where she teamed up with her bestie Ronda Rousey and they continued to be a tag team till their recent feud.

The whole WWE universe was flabbergasted when Bazler attacked Rousey during their Tag Team Championship match at MITB. Thus making them lose the Championship to Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan.

She recently wished fellow wrestler Mia Yim on Twitter and said, “A true badass in and out the ring, happy birthday to my best friend @QoSBaszler. After all the support you’ve given me, especially through those difficult times, I offer my blood or Whateva . I got your back like you’ve always had mine. #BRE4L”.

That was the day the feud began, and it finally ended with Baszler destroying Rousey via TKO at SummerSlam by applying the ‘Kirifuda Clutch’. And just one week after humiliating Rousey in the ring, she further added insult to injury by announcing her new best friend to the world.

Reading all this must have definitely got Rousey infuriated after all that she did for Shayna Baszler in the WWE. But going back to Rousey, what’s in store for her now?

Ronda Rousey wants to make an entry in Hollywood and have another baby

Post her defeat with Shayna Baszler, Rousey will be leaving WWE as she has decided on a non-negotiable leaving date with the WWE. Thus she can leave the brand with no restrictions whatsoever. The rumors are still quite rife of her MMA return post her disclosing her dream fight with Gina Carano in a recent interview with US Weekly. But fans are eagerly waiting to know what Rousey’s next career move will be.

And the answer is Hollywood! Following in the footsteps of already successful wrestlers turned Hollywood stars like Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, and Batista, Rousey wants to make her own mark in the movie industry. In her last interview with ‘The Sun’ in May, she expressed her desire to star to be part of a martial arts blockbuster. She wants to be the next Bruce Lee or Jet Li.

Till date, Rousey has appeared in 4 movies, blockbusters like ‘Furious 7’ and ‘The Expendables 3’ to name a few. But these were all small cameos, and Rousey wants a key part like a lead role in her next movie. She also conveyed that she wants to have another baby and how it’s difficult to do so when being so busy in the WWE.
