“Shameless”: Hulk Hogan Accused of Lying About Muhammad Ali by Fans After Making Bold GOAT Claim During Hall of Fame

The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony saw a glorious celebration on April 5th. The Class of 2024 saw several great inductions including boxing mega legend Muhammad Ali. The ‘floats like a butterfly, stings like a bee’ boxer passed away in 2016, but has been immortalized once again. Moreover, he also received a video package by WWE featuring Hulk Hogan.

Muhammad Ali had worked with The Hulkster in the first-ever iteration of WrestleMania back in 1985. Ali shared the ring with Hulk Hogan as the special guest referee of a tag team match. Interestingly, while the nWo member was doing good throughout his segment, he enraged the WWE Universe when he allegedly repeated a bad habit of his. The habit of spitting outlandish and compulsive lies. 

When Hulk Hogan allegedly pushed his luck at lying again

Muhammad Ali was deeply drawn to pro wrestling, especially WWE. The Olympic gold medalist is known to have spent a lot of time with WWE Superstars, which also included Hulk Hogan. Since Hogan had also worked with Ali, he was naturally included in the video package of his Hall of Fame induction.

However, a particular sentence spoken by Hulk Hogan instantly caught fire on social media. A video clip of his words was posted on X by popular WWE enthusiast FADE. The Hulkster said, “Muhammad Ali would always put his arm around me, and you would whisper in my ear, ‘Hulk Hogan, you’re the greatest of all time.’ Every time I saw him, he’d do that. I’d say, ‘No, you’re the greatest of all time.’” Hogan even modified his voice to speak Ali’s part to add a dramatic effect.

Adding a caption to the tweet, FADE wrote, “BRO WHY DID THEY HAVE HULK HOGAN LYING IN THE ALI HALL OF FAME SEGMENT LMAOOOOOOOOOO.” This was also the opinion of several WWE fans. 

The fans perceived this to be another lie from The Hulkster. However, a few fans did hold that Hogan may not be lying this time.

But, given the reputation of Hulk Hogan, the vast majority saw this as another Hulkster Productions broadcast instead of a true story. In fact, the WWE Universe heavily trolled Hogan for trying to sneak praises for himself when he had to praise Muhammad Ali.

When the WWE Universe insulted The Hulkster for another lie

The WWE Universe has seen Hulk Hogan make several big claims on several occasions in interviews. While he has always been caught, especially with how nothing escapes the internet, the WWE legend has yet to stop lying.

Trolling The Hulkster, a WWE fan outright called him shameless.

Another fan threw light on how Hulk Hogan has made a habit of lying and how it must stop.

This sentiment was echoed by another fan who deemed this bad habit an obsession of Hulk Hogan.

Fans also said how nobody takes Hulk Hogan seriously these days and how he has become a laughing stock due to his lies.

Lastly, one of the fans trolled Hulk Hogan by highlighting the time when he lied about being a member of a mega-popular metal band.
