Seth Rollins‘ cycle as the first WWE World Heavyweight champion concluded in the most heroic way possible and on the most epic stage of all. In the absence of the other World Champion, Roman Reigns, “The Visionary” was in charge of representing WWE with the Heavyweight title. Taking it to all parts of the world without backing down from any kind of challenge. Thus, elevating it as one of the most important in the industry.

However, his reign came to an end when Drew McIntyre pinned him on Night 2 of WrestleMania. And then, the Visionary took a break to treat the torn meniscus he suffered earlier this year.

But when is he going to make his much-awaited return to the Stamford-based promotion? Especially when his wife is set to leave the WWE? Well, we have an update on that front.

The final scenes of Rollins leaving Lincoln Financial Field were heartbreaking. Because, in the most important event of his career, he lost absolutely everything. Fans could witness tears in his eyes. And it was not because he was no longer a champion but because he knew that now he had to take care of his injury. And as a result, he would have to take some time away from what he likes to do most: fight.

Ever since fans have been waiting for even the slightest update as to when they can see the Visionary finally return to the promotion. Well, in the latest edition of the Fightful Wrestling podcast, Sean Ross Sapp revealed that the wait is going to be a bit longer for the fans.

The return timeline of Rollins shrouded in mystery

He said, “I don’t have that info as of yet. Originally, I was told they expected to have him involved by the draft. But that just meant he was going to be in the draft.” However, fans can still rejoice because Rollins would be returning someday soon. However, the same cannot be said about Becky Lynch. ‘The Man’ hasn’t re-signed with the promotion yet and might be headed to AEW. She possibly fought her final match for the promotion tonight on RAW.

After successfully defending his gold against Jinder Mahal during WWE RAW (January 15, 2024), alarm bells went off because Rollins tore his meniscus during the match. And so, unfortunate news came up that the injury was taking him away from his greatest dream. One for which he had worked so hard. And that was being a part of WrestleMania XL. With The Road To Philadelphia just getting started, he had postponed surgery. Just so he could compete at WrestleMania 40. And not just once but twice: in the main event of Night 1, teaming with Cody Rhodes against Roman Reigns and The Rock. And losing the World Heavyweight title to Drew McIntyre and keeping the promise to Rhodes to be “his shield” on Night 2.
