Completing 1000 days as the top star of a promotion is a sensational achievement. One that will undoubtedly put Roman Reigns in contention with the legendary wrestling of yesterday. But there is another record that his former faction mate, Seth Rollins just achieved, one that will also lead Rollins in the conversation about the greatest of all time.

While Rollins could theoretically beat Reigns’ record in a few years, Reigns will not possibly chase Rollins’ record. Walking in the paths of John Cena and Ric Flair, it looks like Rollins is more concerned with getting title reigns one after another.

Can Roman Reigns even come close to this new WWE record, despite his 1000 days reign?

With his win over AJ Styles at Night of Champions, Seth Rollins has become the only superstar to hold all 4 world championships in the various brands in WWE. From the NXT Championship to both the titles on Reigns’ shoulders to the first World Heavyweight Championship after the title’s revival.

Even before winning the WHC, Rollins held the acclaim of holding all 3 world championships in the company. While many NXT champions like Kevin Owens, Big E, and Finn Balor were close to getting that acclaim as well, they lacked either the Universal or WWE Championship. But now that gap has expanded even more with the WHC around his waist.

To meet this record, Reigns needs to not only take away the WHC from Rollins but also win the NXT Championship once. But there’s no way that The Tribal Chief will go to NXT just to win the championship and relinquish it. But let’s go through Rollins’ history with the world championship to understand why WWE trusts him so much as to give him such high positions all the time.

Seth Rollins’ history with WWE championships

Seth Rollins was at the right time with the right skills for the job when he became the inaugural NXT Champion. From there, Rollins went on to win tag titles when in The Shield. But soon enough, Rollins betrayed his friends to get in with The Authority. Having Kane and The Big Show made him win the Money in the Bank briefcase very easily.

This win led to Rollins cashing on the heist of the century and winning his first gold on the main roster. Fast forward to his tournament finals at WWE SummerSlam against Finn Balor, where he lost the opportunity to become the inaugural Universal champion. But just three years after that match, Rollins won his first Universal title as well as slaying The Beast.

Now, beating Styles for the WHC has proven to the world that Rollins is among the greatest of all time. With his speech about being an active champion, we will hopefully also see him defend it against a load of superstars in the future.
