The Visionary has endured a difficult few months physically. In January, during a match against Jinder Mahal on RAW for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, he incurred a serious injury. He suffered a partial meniscus tear and a second-degree tear of the medial collateral ligament. Rollins did not have surgery and opted for therapy to return to the ring as soon as possible. Something he achieved, as he wrestled in March in several live shows and twice at WrestleMania 40. However, after the event and without the responsibility of having one of the world titles in his hands, Seth Rollins underwent surgery. This means that he could miss appearing on WWE programming for quite some time. But how long will the fans have to wait?
The Visionary could be out on the sidelines for more than 6 months
Seth Rollins has been absent from WWE’s weekly schedule since WrestleMania 40. This past week, his wife, Becky Lynch, confirmed that her husband had to undergo surgery. This ensures that the former WWE World Heavyweight champion has to now turn his attention towards optimal rest and recovery.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer also laid out a timeline for the WWE star’s return. He revealed that Seth Rollins’ rehabilitation process could take at least 8 months in the worst-case scenario. However, if the procedure is done optimally with minor complications, then the WWE star could return to the ring in 2-3 months. Before news of the surgery came to light, reports had suggested that The Visionary would undergo a break. Nevertheless, his departure was to be short. However, now it looks like the timeline for his return could take longer than expected. The WWE Universe would not want it any other way too, as they would want to see the best version of Seth Rollins,, especially after his labored actions during WrestleMania 40.
