The interview with Jimmy Traina started with an obvious question about CM Punk’s return which agitated him. A bit of that agony was reflected in Rollins’ words when he described his interactions with fans.

Rollins said, “We get a lot of pseudo-collectors at the airports that are a little funky & a little aggressive sometimes. Again because we have our daughter people tend to stay away a little bit more but yeah, they’re a bit aggressive.” Rollins and his wife Becky Lynch are unarguably the most dominant couple in the pro-wrestling business. Hence, they are approached more frequently by fans.

Though some may feel that fans approaching superstars is common behavior, Rollins has a reason to defend his comments. He finds a particular group to be very annoying. He further stated, “Sometimes they’ll use their kids, they’ll send their kids up with a figure to sign it & you’ll be like ‘Oh, what’s your name, let me sign it to you.'”

Though it is a cheeky trick, Rollins is often forced to sign the figures as he finds it hard to reject young fans. However, his frustration about the same on the podcast may mean more than it seems.

Is WWE building up Seth Rollins as a heel again?

It is hard to determine if Rollins is frustrated by the gesture since he portrays a face character on screen. But, given the rivalry building up between Punk and Rollins, this may be character work. Repeated remarks about each other by the two superstars have indicated that a feud is around the corner.

However, it looks like WWE will once again put Rollins as the heel in the battle between the two. They did something similar when Cody Rhodes joined WWE at WrestleMania 38 before turning his face again.
