The heat has been building between the returning CM Punk and Seth Rollins. Both men have taken shots at each other during their promos and openly declared that they do not like each other. While Punk took the SmackDown ring to throw shade at Rollins and his wife during the last episode of SmackDown, Rollins had something else in mind.

Despite not being confirmed, this feud began when Punk returned to the WWE at Survivor Series. Videos went viral showing Rollins not being happy about this monumental return.

Since Punk’s return to the WWE, Rollins has been vocal about him not liking this decision. From telling the fans that he doesn’t care, to telling the General Manager to stay out of his way, Rollins clearly does not like Punk’s return. In retaliation, the former AEW star made it clear that he acknowledges Rollins’ words during his promos. During his first appearance on SmackDown, he indirectly talked about Rollins’ wife Becky Lynch being ‘The Man’ in their marriage.

During the closing of a dark match, Rollins took to the mic to say a few words. However, the ‘CM Punk’ chants were quick to start. Rollins said, “I got bad news for you guys. I don’t feel like talking about that bum tonight.” He took the time to thank all the people who attended the event and even wished them happy holidays.

However, before leaving, he said, “One more time State College, who the real best in the world is.” This was the signal for the fans to sing his theme. Obliging to the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, the fans began signing the Rollins’ theme. Nevertheless, what lies in store for the WWE Universe in this prospective feud?

The future of Punk vs Rollins

With the heat building between the two stars, fans expect the blowout to happen soon. Despite dropping hints at wanting to go after Roman Reigns, fans believe it will be Rollins vs Punk. While nothing has been confirmed the WWE could finalize plans before Mania season and things could be set in motion before the Royal Rumble 2024.

However, the Chicago based native also emphasized his need to win the upcoming Royal Rumble match to fulfill his dream of main eventing WrestleMania next year. A potential feud between Rollins and Punk could culminate at The Show of Shows next year in a fitting chapter in Punk’s second stint at the promotion.
