Is Seth Rollins' character change the shakeup WWE needs, or just another gimmick?

Seth Freakin Rollins has abruptly stuck his nose into the bitterest rivalry of the century, CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre. And the result didn’t bring any good to him. The Visionary had starred in his expedition against the two over-the-top stars of the division in a rowdy note. Ahead of pulling in the special referee role in the most anticipated match, Rollins cut a fiery promo on the blue brand to put both stars on notice.

He cleared that his way would be the highway in the match – since he had equal disdain over Punk and Mclntyre, and no-nonsense would be entertained. However, all the boss vibes came out hollow as the 38-year-old ended up in the hospital. He ate a nasty attack from Bronson Reed shocking the WWE universe.

While most of the WWE Universe is busy showcasing empathy for the tragic fate of the most innocent of the three involved in the brutal SummerSlam bout, WWE Hall of Famer, Bully Ray, sees a unique transformation scope concealed in the apparent setback for the five-time world champion.

Is Seth Rollins’ heel turn brewing after a major SummerSlam setback?

The nitty-gritty picked from the grand PLE this Saturday, an obvious CM Punk vs Seth Rollins feud is what we could largely see brewing. Punk has been widely known for his knack for getting his own back at any cost. Now, given he said that he’s done with the Scotsman, he was highly likely to set his eyes on Rollins up next; unless and until a WWE World Heavyweight Championship lure takes over.

On the other hand, Rollins has every right to get under the skin of Punk after what he has done at the Money in the Bank in 2024. But in that case, it will lead to a face-to-face match-up. WWE, therefore, might bring the quick plot twist to the table.

Analyzing the odds of Rollins becoming the heel, Bully Ray noted, ”This is where it’s. We’ve talked about it with Seth Rollins. They love the entrance and they respect Seth Rollins, but in any instant, they could turn Seth Rollins one way or the other. They could turn Seth Rollins’ heel one day and I think automatically the WWE Universe would start to boo him.”

Referring to Rollins’ visible browbeat face, the veteran added, ”Just the cut of his jib screams heel. He just, like even last night when he came out in the black leather outfit, just the scowl on his face screams heel.”

However, no matter whichever role The Aerialist takes up next, he holds a broader philosophy about being in the shoes of a heel and face.

But on the other hand, becoming a heel will be as congenital for him as it was as a face. During an old interview, the 38-year-old compared the differences between a heel and face run with the human lives having black and white shades, making the circle full.
