Seth Rollins’ Backstage Moment With Iyo Sky After the Latter’s SummerSlam Win Is Pure Gold

Winning a championship is always a dream that every wrestler has when they enter the business. They go through all the blood, sweat, and tears to make their dreams a reality. And recently one superstar was able to achieve this dream by cashing in her MITB contract at SummerSlam.

We are talking about the new WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky. Sky shocked the world with her cash-in at SummerSlam and celebrated with her Damage CTRL partners, Bayley and Dakota Kai. And post the match, Seth Rollins was waiting for her backstage to give her a special surprise.

SummerSlam was clearly supposed to be Bianca Belair’s special night as she finally won the WWE Women’s Championship in the Triple Threat match with Charlotte Flair and Asuka. But fate had other plans for her and her celebration was short-lived as Iyo Sky very sneakily cashed in her MITB right after Belair’s win.

Bayley also accompanied her to the ring and they both attacked an already exhausted Belair. Thus Sky pinned her to become the new WWE Women’s Champion. This is Sky’s first individual championship on the WWE main roster and it was definitely an auspicious moment.

And who better to congratulate her on her win than the man who carried out the ‘Heist Of The Century’ at WrestleMania 31 using his own MITB contract? Seth Rollins was waiting backstage for Sky and when she arrived, he gave her a big hug as he knows the pure joy this kind of win gives.

The stage was set for the main event at WrestleMania 31, Roman Reigns challenging Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Till the very end, fans had no idea who would win as both the performers were one-upping each other.

But just when both the wrestlers lay all exhausted in the middle of the ring, Seth Rollins came running down quickly and cashed in his MITB. Thus making that match a Triple Threat match. Then as Lesnar was about to F-5 Rollins and finish the proceedings, Reigns came out of nowhere and slammed him with a thunderous spear.

Rollins snappily took advantage of this situation and finished off the match by stomping Reigns, thus becoming the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania. That was the first time the MITB briefcase was cashed in at WrestleMania.
