The WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall faced Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania X8. The match ended with Stone Cold emerging victorious over the late-great Scott Hall. However, that’s not how Razor Ramon, aka Scott Hall, wanted the ending to be.
The two-time WWE Hall of Famer Scott Hall had just returned to the WWE in 2002. He jumped ship from WCW back to Vince McMahon’s company. When Hall moved back to the WWE, he had a lot of heat involved with other wrestlers. But that was mostly because he reunited with the nWo member Kevin Nash.

Scott Hall was not happy with the WWE decision!
WWE put two of the greatest wrestlers of all time at WrestleMania X8. But when the match was booked, there were a lot of interpretations of who should win the game. In addition, Hall was not happy when the company told him to lose to The Texas Rattlesnake.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, in the latest edition of ‘Death of Scott Hall,’ reported the same.
“The finish of that match was highly discussed at the time, with some feeling Hall needed to go over as the newcomer. Although in every version of that, it would have been due to NWO interference,” Dave Meltzer reported.

According to Dave, Scott wanted to win WrestleMania X8 because it was his comeback to the WWE. Losing to The Texas Rattlesnake was not something he was expecting.
The WWE Universe will miss the WWE Hall of Famer
The former member of NWO Scott Hall during that time had drinking problems. In one episode of the Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross also discussed Steve Austin getting disappointed backstage before WrestleMania X8. Scott showed up in the company hungover, which made The Texas Rattlesnake furious.
Stone Cold demanded a win over Hall to what he thought was Scott’s lack of professionalism. So naturally, the people in the company imagined that Scott Hall was not a good fit for Austin at WrestleMania.
