Triple H will always be regarded as one of the best WWE superstars in the company’s history. He was the best heel during the Ruthless Aggression era and practically ruled over RAW for almost more than a year.
Apart from his in-ring career, Triple H created NXT, which gave a fantastic insight into the future superstars of WWE.

Recently, Triple H announced his in-ring retirement in an interview on Stephan A’s World on ESPN. The Game also revealed WWE had plans for him at WrestleMania 38 in Texas. Later, though, the plans were scrapped when Triple H was hospitalized because of viral pneumonia.

The Cerebral Assassin talked about his WrestleMania plans, “I have had a conversation with Vince McMahon about doing something at WrestleMania this year in Dallas, which we had talked about and there were plans for. Obviously, when this happened, it shut all that down. As far as the schedule, WWE is an intense place. It’s 24/7 and you’re running, running, running. It just put things in perspective for me.”
Triple H didn’t reveal the exact plans they had for him at WrestleMania 38. He was in talks with Vince after SummerSlam 2021, but unfortunately, his hospitalization in September 2021 meant the plans had to be canceled. The Cerebral Assassin revealed he had a defibrillator put in, so his in-ring career is over.
As of now, The King of Kings is back in his office at WWE Headquarters. He is continuing his work in Talent Research and Development and is expected to be back at NXT soon.
Triple H is ready to guide Gable Steveson
While Triple H will not be able to compete in the ring anymore, the legend will continue grooming the young talent. During the interview, Triple H shed light on his future in WWE.

Triple H will make himself busy with backstage duties of Executive Vice-president of Talent, Live Events, and Creative. Recently, WWE signed Gable Steveson, who will make his WWE in-ring debut and The King of Kings is ready to guide Steveson.

He said, “Whether that’s at the Performance Center, finding the next young stud that’s out there, male or female, Gable Steveson, two-time NCAA Champion, Gold Medal at the Olympics, his next step is with WWE. With us, it’s finding that and creating that future. That’s the biggest focus for me. As we move forward from there, it’s making sure WWE is a success for generations to come.”
Following his in-ring retirement, Triple H is looking forward to giving his full time towards finding and training new superstars. He will start it by guiding Gable Steveson following his WWE in-ring debut.
