Sasha Banks finally made her much-awaited in-ring return on this week’s SmackDown Live in a tag team match against Carmella and Zelina Vega with SmackDown Women’s champion Bianca Belair by her side.

She appeared earlier in the show in a segment where she saved the current champion, Bianca Belair, who suffered a 2 on 1 beat-down at the hands of Carmella and Zelina Vega.

WWE then set the main event between Sasha Banks with Bianca Belair against Carmella with Zelina Vega, which would be Banks’ first match after WrestleMania 37 in April.

Sasha and Bianca won the match via submission when Carmella taps out of the ‘Bank Statement’. After the match wrapped up, both the wrestlers celebrated together.

Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair put up a brilliant match together

The main event featured former enemies ‘The Boss’ and WWE’s ‘EST’ working together against Carmella and Zelina Vega who were campaigning for the next title shot earlier in the show.

The match starts and Belair immediately delivered a dropkick to Carmella, soon Belair tagged Banks in and the former champ showed no ring rust with her swift dropkicks and punches.

Halfway through the match, Carmella and Vega isolated Belair from her partner as they slowed her down. Vega put Belair in a standing submission in the middle of the ring.

Towards the ending of the match, Banks hit Vega with the ‘Three Amigos’, a tribute to WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero then reached to the top rope and delivered a picture-perfect Frog Splash to Vega.

Vega tagged in Carmella where she had no chance against Banks, they tangled and Banks caught her in the Backstabber, then the Bank Statement for the submission win.

Banks showed Belair that who is the ‘Boss’

After the match was over, Bianca and Sasha hugged each other in excitement. Soon Banks hit Belair with a Bank Statement and stunned the crowd, she went on to shove the title in Belair’s face.

She dropped Belair with a tornado DDT and applied the Bank Statement in the middle of the ring, The referee tried to break the lock but just couldn’t overpower ‘The Boss’.

She applied the submission again while the referee tried to break the hold as SmackDown went off the air.

It seems like Sasha still has a bitter taste from her loss at WrestleMania 37 (Night I) where she lost the title to Belair. This attack is a direct message to the champ that she is not safe as long as she holds the title.

We might just see the build-up for their SummerSlam match-up on next week’s SmackDown.
