If you thought WWE was done releasing superstars last November, then you might be wrong. Once again, WWE released not only superstars but also long-time employees, including William Regal.
Towards the end of 2021, WWE sent shock waves around the professional wrestling world by releasing superstars such as Nia Jax and Keith Lee.

The most shocking name on this list is William Regal. This is mainly because of Regal’s involvement in WWE for a long time.
Regal, a veteran in WWE, worked for the company for almost 20 years. After his wrestling career got over, Regal played a key role in NXT and became the General Manager of NXT in 2014. Later, he also played the role of a trainer at the WWE Performance Center and made a vital contribution to the rise of many WWE superstars.

Following Regal’s departure from the company, WWE legends, current, and former WWE superstars, took to Twitter to show their support for William Regal.

WWE Raw superstar Edge is a dear friend to William Regal. Edge took to Twitter and revealed Regal made him a better and tougher performer, pulled him out of his comfort zone, and pushed him to new heights.

Zelina Vega also shared a post on Twitter and thanked Regal for his guidance, teachings, and kindness. Vega mentioned Regal played a huge role in her getting hired back in 2017.

WWE legend Mick Foley also tweeted following Regal’s departure. The WWE legend looked shocked and mentioned whoever hires Regal next will be fortunate.

Former SmackDown Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks, also took to Twitter to thank William Regal. Sasha claimed there would be no Sasha Banks if it wasn’t for William Regal. She thanked Regal for giving her a chance and believing in her.

Kevin Owens admitted he was grateful for Regal’s guidance and advice throughout the years in WWE. He even mentioned there is no chance he would be where he is today without William Regal.
