Sami Zayn Recalls How Working With Roman Reigns and the Bloodline Earned Him the Biggest Compliment of His Life: “I Am Very Fortunate”

Sami Zayn is undoubtedly one of the top WWE superstars right now. But this wasn’t the case a few years ago. If you have been following WWE for quite a while then you must know that Zayn was usually placed as a mid-card wrestler back then. But this year, he main-evented WrestleMania and rocked the SoFi Stadium in Hollywood.

However, this would hardly be possible if the creative hadn’t decided to go with a unique plan and added Zayn to ‘The Bloodline’ storyline. Not only the fame, but Zayn’s collaboration with Roman Reigns and the ‘Bloodline’ also earned him a compliment that every WWE superstar dreams of.

Sami Zayn reveals how his collaboration with the ‘Bloodline’ brought him the biggest appreciation

Recently, the WWE superstar Sami Zayn appeared on Mark Andrew’s podcast “My Love Letter to Wrestling”. During the podcast, the former Bloodline member opened up about his working experience with Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman. He also revealed how his collaboration with the ‘Bloodline’ earned him the biggest compliment of his life.

Zayn said that it was pretty fun working with Roman Reigns and other Bloodline members and also praised behind the scene people who actually made the storyline work amazingly. 

The former ‘Honorary Uce’ revealed that several fans have come up to him and said that his angle with the ‘Bloodline’ brought them back to the WWE while they were drifting apart. And according to Zayn, it is the best compliment he could ever get.

Talking to the host, Sami Zayn said, “It was fun for sure ……. I am very fortunate to get compliments for a couple of different things that I have done in my career ….. But I think I’ve heard it more recently than I have ever heard for anything that I have done …. The fans come up to me and they go ‘I kind of fell out with wrestling and this storyline brought me back’. I think that’s the biggest compliment you can kinda get.”

His work with the ‘Bloodline’ undoubtedly brought huge appreciation to the former ‘Honorary Uce’.

But not only the fans, even a WWE legend also couldn’t stop himself from praising Zayn’s exceptional performance in the storyline.

Sami Zayn and his angle with the ‘Bloodline’ didn’t only bring some of the fans back to the product, but WWE legend The Undertaker also became a fan of it. The legend once shared his views about Sami Zayn and praised his role as the ‘Honorary Uce’ in WWE calling it the best gimmick of his career. 

According to The Undertaker, Sami Zayn’s character added curiosity to the whole story. He even elaborated that everyone knows what the Bloodline is all about and what they stand for, but including in the mix Sami Zayn gave them several layers. He also loved the tension between Zayn, Roman Reigns, and the Usos that worked so well.
