Sami Zayn on Why Triple H Never Treated Him Like Brock Lesnar Early On: “He’s Kind of Right..”

Triple H has nurtured a lot of current main roster WWE superstars and Sami Zayn is one of those. However, things were like a roller coaster ride for Zayn since debuting on the main roster. He wasn’t the guy like Brock Lesnar who got the quick push, but rather was slowly climbing to the top spot.

The ‘Honorary Uce’ is enjoying the best time in the company currently. However, recently he shared what Triple H said to him years ago while Zayn was in NXT, which stuck with him for a long time.

Triple H called Sami Zayn a ‘slow-built’ wrestler

A couple of weeks ago, Sami Zayn appeared on Rosenberg Radio where he recalled what Hunter said to him. As The Bloodline member said, ‘The King of Kings’ thinks of Zayn as a WWE superstar who needs an extremely slow build.

The former Intercontinental said, “Ages ago, Hunter told me this once when I was in NXT. I forget exactly how he phrased it or why we were even talking about it. He said something along the lines of, ‘You’re a slow burn guy. You’re a slow build.’”

He added, “I think he’s kind of right about that, even when I compare careers. Like Kevin and I, when we would come up together, I felt like in a lot of places, Kevin would jump out at you a bit more, and they’re like, ‘Oh, this Kevin guy is great.’”

Well, now after hearing this we too can agree with Triple H as Zayn is also on the same page. Even back in NXT, they built his storyline slowly, which led to a massive feel-good moment when he won the title.

Similarly, it seems Hunter and even Vince McMahon had big plans for Zayn, but WWE is kind of taking it slow to give a mega feel-good moment for the fans in the future.

Not all WWE stars are like Brock Lesnar, who got a huge push from top management. The Beast debuted in March 2002 and after 126 days; he was the WWE Champion by August of the same year. No star has got such a push in WWE since 2002 as Lesnar, which took him to the top of the card.

Is Zayn a favorable contender to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match in 2023?

By becoming the Honorary Uce, Sami Zayn is on a completely different rise in WWE currently. Since he coined the term ‘UCEY’ surely, the entire WWE Universe is feeling Ucey about his run. But is he a favorable star to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match next year?

WWE has several stars who are in plan to win the match, including names like The Rock and Cody Rhodes. However, if Zayn wins the Royal Rumble, he becomes a threat to Roman Reigns’ titles. Hence, this might be a good chance WWE can take for having twists and turns in The Bloodline story.
