Sami Zayn will be very disappointed after the latest episode of WWE SmackDown. Two weeks ago, Zayn earned himself a shot at the WWE Universal Championship on WWE SmackDown. But all the excitement got spoiled after Brock Lesnar returned during the latest episode of WWE SmackDown.

Following his return, it was expected that Lesnar will once again go after Roman Reigns and the Universal Championship. So, in this situation, what could Sami Zayn do? Well, he certainly showed some courage as he interrupted Brock Lesnar midway during a segment last week. Surprisingly, instead of getting angry, the Beast Incarnate acted as Sami Zayn’s manager.

Brock Lesnar then pressurized Zayn to battle the Tribal Chief for the WWE Universal Championship later on that night instead of battling the Tribal Chief on the WWE Day 1 PPV. He even claimed that he will have Zayn’s back during his battle against Roman Reigns. But just before the match, Lesnar betrayed Sami Zayn by attacking him. Reflecting on that, Zayn took to Twitter recently. He posted a photo of him and Lesnar smiling. In the caption, Zayn wrote, “This could be us but you playin”.

Though the Brock Lesnar-Sami Zayn segment was pretty fun to watch, Lesnar was always going to betray Zayn. After the brutal attack from Brock last week, Sami Zayn was left helpless. Taking advantage of this, Roman Reigns made Sami Zayn tap out in less than 20 seconds. And just like that, Sami Zayn lost his title opportunity.

Brock Lesnar will finally get a chance to face Roman Reigns once again

The last time Lesnar and Reigns went head-to-head was at the 2021 Crown Jewel PPV. On that night, Roman Reigns got the better of the Beast Incarnate after getting some help from The USOs. But soon after the loss, Lesnar warned the Tribal Chief ahead of WWE SmackDown.

During the following episode of WWE SmackDown, Lesnar attacked Roman Reigns brutally. He even put his hands on the WWE officials, including Adam Pearce. As a result, Lesnar got indefinitely suspended and was even handed a fine of $1 million.
