Fans are deeply worried about checking their social media as they might see the horrid news of another WWE star being let go. Amid the recent departures, former World Champion Dolph Ziggler was let go, and that was followed by the shocking release of Matt Riddle. As SmackDown began, insider sources speculated a change in LA Knight’s segment that further scared fans.

LA Knight is involved in a heated feud with The Miz and he just went two up in that series last week.

The recent layoffs of top WWE stars are definitely sending shockwaves in the WWE universe. Fans are worried as the next name to be pulled out of the layoff bag might just be their favorite. Matt Riddle was the latest to bear the brunt of the WWE budget cuts just before the start of SmackDown.

As fans are still getting to terms with the release of top stars like Riddle and Dolph Ziggler, insider sources claim that LA Knight’s segment on SmackDown got nixed at the last minute. This worried fans further as they felt that this was the warning bell for another dreadful layoff. WWE insider BWE reported that LA Knight’s segment was pulled from SmackDown, though it may not be anything serious.

LA Knight has been close to the top of the SmackDown food chain in the last few months. After decimating The Miz twice in the ring, he has his eyes set on Championship glory as he sent out a warning to all the current title holders in the WWE, including Roman Reigns.

And it’s slowly being revealed that LA Knight was slated to assist John Cena in the ring tonight providing an explosive finish to SmackDown.

John Cena promised fans on Twitter that SmackDown is gonna be crazy tonight and that was exactly what was planned. As LA Knight was supposed to get involved in the John Cena and Bloodline feud.

Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful.com reported the same on Twitter. He said, “Originally, LA Knight was listed as being involved in tonight’s contract signing. Knight was listed as a surprise to help John Cena. He was also internally listed as teaming with Cena in a dark match following the show. We’re told this was not a Vince McMahon change, it was medical related”.
