Dominik Mysterio currently represents the WWE RAW brand and also appears sporadically on the NXT broadcasting. On RAW, he is a member of the heel stable The Judgment Day, with Finn Balor, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley. He currently holds the NXT North American Championship in his first reign on NXT. Despite already appearing on two different shows, he also appears at every live event and showcase, including meet and greets and promotional events the WWE has.
While conversing with Baby Huey on the In The Kliq podcast, Dominik was asked about his travels with the WWE. Huey emphasized that he is with Judgment Day and the NXT North American Champion. Dominik answered, “My days off are usually Wednesday, and that’s about it.” This answer surprised Huey, and Dominik explained why his schedule was such.

“We have Friday SmackDown. We have live events Saturday and Sunday. We have TV on Monday, which is Monday Night RAW. And then I go and do NXT on Tuesday,” Dominik said. He also added that if they were lucky, they would fly out for SmackDown on Friday, leaving Thursdays as a day off. However, Dirty Dom said they aren’t always that lucky and must travel on Thursdays.

Dominik, on being the next Mysterio and the family name

Dominik is a third-generation professional wrestler, after his father, Rey Mysterio, and great-uncle, Rey Misterio Sr. This puts pressure on him to perform better than the rest and sets him up as the next Mysterio. In his second time breaking Kayfabe, he talked about being the next Mysterio. Huey asked what he felt about Dragon Lee, who many consider the next Mysterio.

Dominik answered that there was no next Mysterio as he was the only Mysterio. He went on to explain that, being Rey’s son, it was his duty to keep up the family legacy. Despite having a feud with his father on screen, Dominik didn’t miss the chance to talk about the honor and pride he has been part of the Mysterio family. He added that he was the only person to carry that name forward. In conclusion, no other wrestler could take up the mantle of being a Mysterio.
