The Royal Rumble is renowned for delivering unexpected surprises, and this edition lived up to that reputation. Among the memorable moments was the surprising return of a former AEW star, who happens to be Charlotte Flair‘s husband. 

A recently surfaced video on social media captures a heartwarming moment between Charlotte Flair and her husband moments before his unexpected entry in the rumble. Despite a knee injury, the 14-time World Champion showed resilience by returning backstage to support her husband in his remarkable Royal Rumble 2024 comeback.

Charlotte Flair helps Andrade El Idolo backstage 

Andrade El Idolo made a surprising return at number 4 in the Royal Rumble, marking his third appearance in the event and eventually being eliminated by Bronson Reed. A backstage video was shared on the social media platform X of the power couple. 

It captures a supportive moment between Andrade and Charlotte Flair. Despite her injury, she assisted him by applying tanner, spraying and rubbing it across his back before the return. The couple was smiling and talking to each other with a sense of happiness. 

The clip provides fans with a brief and intimate glimpse into the couple’s supportive dynamic amidst challenges. Andrade, known for his successful career in NXT and subsequent stint in AEW, returned to WWE. A move that aligns well with his wife Flair’s established presence in the company.

Charlotte Flair has responded to her husband’s comeback with a succinct one-word message. The Mexican star, who spent over half a decade with the global juggernaut, requested his release in March 2021 and later joined AEW. 

After his contract with AEW expired, the former NXT Champion made a surprising return to WWE as a participant in the men’s Royal Rumble match. 

Charlotte Flair, potentially influencing her husband’s return to WWE, shared a brief but expressive message on Twitter/X: “PAPI [emoji].” During the match, Andrade lasted for about 20 minutes before getting eliminated by Reed.
