As the year draws to an end, a lot of executives shuffle their pockets and pull out the paperwork for the contracts. While most of the WWE Superstars are in safe hands, for now, there are some contracts that will be expiring very soon. One particularly alarming deadline is of former WWE Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.
Not appearing in WWE for over a year, fans are wondering if WWE has any plans for her at all. According to a recent report from Fightful, Rousey’s contract will end on April 10, 2021.

Rousey debuted in WWE in 2018, much to the shock of many fans. The MMA star soon established her dominance in WWE and rose to the top of the ranks.
It wasn’t long before she conquered even prominent Superstar in the Women’s Division and soon became the force of the entire division. She won the Raw Women’s Championship after crushing Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam 2018.
Defeating worthy opponents like Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Nia Jax, Rousey was unstoppable. She was a class above the rest in terms of physicality and was known for her rough nature in a fight.
Ronda Rousey has not been seen in WWE after her WrestleMania loss
However, she lost her Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania to Becky Lynch in a triple threat match that also included SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.
Lynch was the winner that took both belts. The finish went down as the most controversial finish in the division’s history. Many suspect that there was a huge botch at the end and Rousey’s reaction was enough to convince fans.
Since then, we haven’t seen her in WWE. There seem to be no plans for her return or a place for her in the current storylines. It goes without saying that WWE is ready to see her contract through.
There have not been any talks of renewal from either side. Ronda will no longer be a WWE Superstar after the contract officially ends on April 10, 2021.

Another contract that was set to expire was that of NXT’s Pat McAfee. McAfee, one of the best heels in WWE right now behind Roman Reigns, was supposed to take part only in a feud against Adam Cole.
