Ronda Rousey made her final appearance in the WWE at SummerSlam. Her last match was against her best mate Shayna Baszler in a contest under MMA rules. Sadly Rousey lost that match and seemingly confirmed her retirement from wrestling. But recently she entered the ring once again and this time around won the bout.

The match was a tag team match with old pal Marina Shafir.

On 11th October, Ronda Rousey insinuated at her retirement from wrestling and combat sports through an Instagram post. After that, fans had given up all hope of ever seeing Rousey in the ring again. But to their surprise, she took part in a surprise tag team match at a “Lucha VaVOOM” show.

This event took place yesterday. She joined forces with AEW star Marina Shafir to take on Taya Valkyrie and Brian Kendrick. Even wrestling reporter Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful.com was quite surprised by the impromptu match.

He posted a pic on Twitter with the caption, “Ronda Rousey & Marina Shafir vs. Brian Kendrick & Taya isn’t a match I expected to hear about today”. Rousey even posted the video of the entire match on her Instagram so her fans could enjoy it. She said, “Lucha VaVOOM was honestly the best lucha/burlesque hybrid show I’ve ever had the pleasure of jumping into unannounced. Anyone who doubted me and Marina Shafir could make magic in the ring is an idiot – thank you Taya Valkyrie and Brian Kendrick for being down to get down with us.”

And Rousey fans were left happy as she won the match that night. It looks like Rousey is back in action yet again, despite her ‘retirement’. We will only have to wait and watch. But what is Rousey currently upto after leaving the WWE?

‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey is currently in the process of writing her second memoir. Her first memoir called ‘My Fight’ was released in 2015 and got a very good response from the fans.

According to PWInsider. her second memoir will be called ‘Our Fight’. It will be published by the Hachette Book Group in the spring of 2024.
