Ronda Rousey shocked the WWE universe when she returned to WWE this year in the Women’s Royal Rumble match. She had a stellar performance in the match and she eventually won the Rumble after tossing Charlotte Flair over the top rope. She challenged Charlotte for her SmackDown Women’s Title at WrestleMania 38.

Recently, Ronda Rousey opened up on her WWE return in a video she posted on her YouTube channel. She also speaks about her experience during the first run in the company. Ronda did not expect this type of crowd reaction when she returned to WWE.

Ronda Rousey was going to return to WWE as she claimed in the video. She was hesitant about the crowd’s reaction she would get as she left after WrestleMania 35. But it was shocking for her after she got a cheering crowd reaction.
She said, “I really missed wrestling, I did and I wanted to come back and I knew I was coming back too. What I thought I did to the animosity that I left. So didn’t kind of like came out looking super defensive from the beginning and just at the Rumble, it wasn’t like that but I just assumed the reaction was from the surprise.”
She got a good crowd reaction, which she didn’t expect, and became less nervous during the match.
Paul Heyman appreciated Ronda Rousey backstage
On Monday Ronda Rousey appeared on RAW to announce her opponent for WrestleMania 38. She was nervous because she thought the arena would boo her as she said Becky’s name about everything.
After her promo, Paul Heyman appreciated her backstage saying, “You did great but I’m going to tell you he (Vince) one thing, he’s going to tell you to smile.”
Ronda later talked to Vince McMahon and appreciated her saying that she did a fantastic job and just smile.
Fans booed Ronda Rousey outside WWE after WrestleMania 35
Ronda Rousey said after her WrestleMania 35 match against Becky and Charlotte, she was injured. She shattered her knuckles and also she wasn’t able to touch her hip with her hand. She was angry at the fans after her last match in her first WWE run.
Ronda said, “When I left WWE I had been getting booed out of the stadium every day for months.”

WWE planned Ronda as a babyface during her first run in WWE. The sudden rise of The Man Becky Lynch got over the fans and, as a result, fans started booing Ronda. She enjoyed being the heel at that point as she got to be like she was in UFC.
