Ronda Rousey has been embracing her new role as a heel in WWE recently. After a run as a babyface that didn’t excite the audience, WWE has given Rousey’s character a major overhaul, and she seems to relish it. Last week on SmackDown Rousey issued an open challenge after refusing to do so a week prior. To her and everyone’s surprise, Emma returned to WWE and answered the challenge.

Rousey defeated Emma to retain her SmackDown Women’s title despite a strong showing from the former NXT superstar.

Rousey attempted to mock Emma by copying her signature dancing moves as she was making her way to the ring. This has since resulted in a little back-and-forth between the two superstars on social media.

Emma called Ronda Rousey the worse dancer

After her 2017 release, Emma returned to the promotion. She went up against the current SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey answering her open title challenge, but fell short after Rousey used an eye-rake to get the win.

Before the match, Rousey mocked her by dancing how Emma did during her NXT and early main roster run.

Emma addressed this on Twitter and took a shot at Rousey’s dancing skills. She wrote,Nice to see @RondaRousey is a big Emma fan… Unfortunately, she’s a worse dancer than me.”

Afterwards, Rousey fired back at the returning star on Twitter and said she should quit WWE and go on ‘Dancing With The Stars’The Rowdy One tweeted, “Well then maybe you’d have better luck at @officialdwts than @wwe #hugefan.”

For the unversed, Emma had a signature dance move in NXT, similar to how Rousey acted on SmackDown. She carried it on during her main roster stint for a while when she, along with former WWE star Santino Marella, was involved in a feud with Summer Rae and Fandango. The pair competed in a few dance-offs on RAW and SmackDown. Emma’s dance moves were more of a comic relief than actual dance in these segments.

WWE released Emma from the company in 2017, before she made her surprise return to the blue brand. It will be interesting to see if WWE incorporates this Twitter exchange to further the feud between Rousey and Emma. As of now, Rousey is without an opponent for the Crown Jewel PLE this weekend.
