Can WWE survive without Roman Reigns, or is he the backbone of the company?

After his explosive return at SummerSlam, Roman Reigns stood tall on the first episode of SmackDown against The Bloodline 2.0. Not only was the Original Tribal Chief outnumbered, but he also had no help. Despite the odds, it was a victorious moment for the OTC as he showed Solo Sikoa why he is the real Tribal Chief. However, on the latest edition of SmackDown, things didn’t go as planned. Not only did Reigns lose the sacred Ula Fala, but he was put through the announce table.

During the Main Event of SmackDown, Sikoa challenged Reigns, saying that if he wanted his Ula Falaback, he could come and take it. However, this was a trap set by the new Tribal Chief. Despite having only Tama Tonga in his corner, Jacob Fatu was waiting for his moment to strike. The new Bloodline 2.0 proved their dominance over Reigns. This led many fans to believe that Reigns was written off TV and won’t appear on SmackDown soon.

Fans have been waiting for Reigns to come face-to-face with Fatu. Since his joining Bloodline 2.0, Fatu has been a force to be reckoned with. Not only did the Samoan Wearewolf lay out the top three babyfaces in the company, but he was also the reason the group won the Tag Team Titles. While Fatu’s injury kept him from interfering with Reigns’ return at SummerSlam, tonight was different. Despite wearing a walking boot for his injury, Fatu didn’t miss a beat and laid waste to Reigns.

Fans claim Roman Reigns will be returning after a month

While Reigns did not look like he suffered any injury during the segment, the family did go through a massive loss. Just weeks after the passing of Reign’s father, Sika Anoaʻi, his uncle, Afa, also tragically passed away. Despite the massive loss, Reigns appeared on SmackDown as scheduled.

After the beat down, fans also speculated the return of Jimmy Uso as the Original Tribal Chief is now outnumbered by The Bloodline 2.0. This could also be the point where Paul Heyman, the Wiseman to the OTC, returns as well. What do you think? Will Reigns be taking time off? Tell us in the comments.
