WWE Superstar Roman Reigns was the top champion for nearly four years and was instrumental in WrestleMania XL, reaching his ninth main event match. However, Cody Rhodes ended his historic reign of the WWE Undisputed Championship. Since then, Reigns’ future has been uncertain, with the expectation that he will be absent from WWE television programming.

In addition, speculation about his return has increased as WWE gears up for what promises to be its biggest event of the summer, WWE SummerSlam. But what’s the storyline for the Tribal Chief? Now that Solo Sikoa has taken over the group. Well, according to a legend of the sport, it seems like Reigns would be all geared up for a babyface run.

For now, it is not sure whether Roman Reigns will return to SummerSlam or will be coming straight to the Showcase of the Immortals, but by now, it is sure that the current Bloodline story is a buildup for his much-awaited return. The long-term booking surely would make the Tribal Chief seem larger than life, and what better than a babyface run?

The latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown saw the anointment ceremony of Tonga Loa as Tama Tonga and Sikoa also got their official ranks in the group. This surely hyped up WWE veteran Bully Ray, who re-tweeted a video of the scene and wrote how he believes that Roman Reigns will be coming as a babyface now that Solo Sikoa has officially declared himself as the current leader of the group.

He wrote, “Dear GOD…when Roman returns, hes gonna be a monster babyface!!! @BustedOpenRadio” But Solo Sikoa still claims that he is listening to the orders of the Tribal Chief. So while he might be the Tribal heir, there is someone else pulling the strings.

And it surely has to be The Rock. The Brahma Bull did mention how he would be coming back for revenge against Rhodes, but Roman Reigns also broke his heart with the defeat. So it is highly possible that The Rock decided to take matters into his own hands now.

This surely would book an amazing feud, with Reigns reuniting with the Usos to form the old Bloodline again to go against the new one. While Jacob Fatu, too, can join the group later on to even things out. But for now, we will have to wait and see how the WWE books things. As for Rhodes teaming up with Reigns, it seems tough. Especially because Rhodes believes he is a better champion than Reigns.

Cody Rhodes highlights the differences between him and Roman Reigns as champions

During a recent interview with WHAS11, Cody Rhodes was asked about the differences between him and Roman Reigns. Rhodes noted that, unlike Reigns, he attends the corresponding city every week wearing the championship. The American Nightmare also mentioned that during the last year, he behaved like the true champion. Even if he did not have the title in his possession. He said, “I think one of the things I really love is the fact that I am able to go city to city. Whereas the WWE Champion prior to myself, the man I defeated, Roman Reigns, the Tribal Chief, was not on every city.”

The former AEW star further added, “He wasn’t making it to every show. And I’ve had the opportunity to be able to bring it – and for a year I felt like I was the champion without the belt. I was everywhere promising them, ‘Hey, I’m gonna bring you the WWE Championship’. It feels good when you can fulfill your promise and go back to these places and bring this (title).”

It surely feels like Roman Reigns will have to mend these differences and earn the respect of Rhodes if he wants his support. But seeing the two team up to face the Rock would surely be an amazing sight to see. What do you think? Will Rhodes join Reigns in the fight? Let us know in the comments.
