The latest edition of SmackDown kicked off with a massive announcement. Cody Rhodes, the WWE Universal Champion, accepted Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline Rules stipulation. This means that the match will be a street fight with no disqualifications. While this may seem like a great way for Rhodes to one-up the new Tribal Chief Sikoa, unfortunately, the entire Bloodline 2.0 will be on Sikoa’s side. However, this announcement has sparked the rumour that Roman Reigns could be returning to aid Rhodes in retaining his title.

There has been an ongoing debate on how Reigns could make his return. With the match being set for the main event, fans initially believed he would show up to distract Sikoa, resulting in Rhodes winning. However, now that the stipulation is in place, fans wonder if Reigns will attack Sikoa to help Rhodes win.

The last time a Bloodline Rules match took place was at WrestleMania 40. While Reigns has Dwayne Johnson, Jimmy Uso, and Sikoa aiding him, Rhodes had John Cena, Jey Uso, and The Undertaker. So, what will happen now at SummerSlam?

As SummerSlam approaches, fans have begun speculating about who could be returning and debuting. The second largest PLE for WWE will definitely want to blow the fans away, and this has led to some creative speculation.

Fans call for Roman Reigns’ return to aid Cody Rhodes

Fans were quick to take to social media to debate on how Reigns could be used with the new stipulation. Since there are no disqualifications, Reigns could help Rhodes with the referee, without the match being called off. Here are the reactions and speculations of the fans.

The majority of the fans said that Reigns could interfere without any issue. If Reigns does return, fans would love to see him attack Sikoa for everything he has done since Mania 40. This would only look good if Reigns had time in the ring rather than if it were a quick run-in.

Some fans also mentioned that Reigns will be costing Solo the title. On the SmackDown episode, Sikoa was very confident that he would be walking away from SummerSlam with the title.

Only at SummerSlam will we know if Reigns does make his return. However, the numbers will still be in Sikoa’s favor unless Reigns comes back with some backup. This could be in the form of a returning Jimmy Uso or a debuting Talla Tonga.
