When will Roman Reigns return? Everyone has been asking his question. The wrestler has been on a hiatus ever since his loss to Cody Rhodes. However, he will need time to process the major emotional loss that he must have suffered from when his father passed away on June 25, 2024. Several things have led to a delay in his comeback, but brace yourself because no fan is ready for what we are about to discuss next!
Chris Van Vliet from ‘Insight’ podcast opined how Roman Reigns might be away for an extended period of time. “That [The Bloodline Civil War] definitely feels like what we are lined up for here. There’s no reason why they keep adding all of these incredible, talented members to The Bloodline, if we are not going to get some beautiful payoff at some point down the line.”
“I don’t think this is anytime soon. And I think that the Roman return may not even happen in this calendar year. He might not come back till 2025 … I feel like when Roman comes back, he’s inevitably going to get that huge pop. It’s going to be a massive babyface pop and I hope that they keep this as a surprise return.”

Many fans will hope for Vliet’s view to be proved wrong. As of now, there’s no way of saying what’s going to happen. However, Roman Reigns was rumored to return at SummerSlam. Considering the fact that it is a month away, there is a possibility that the wrestler’s comeback might not be pushed further. This is because of the dire situation that is going on in The Bloodline right now and the fact that a civil war among the Anoa’i family members could be inevitable.
Regardless, the WWE will give him enough time to mourn the loss of Sika Anoa‘i.

Who will stand with Roman Reigns?
During a promo on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa mentioned how Roman Reigns won’t be coming back. Although this managed to scare The Wiseman, some fans immediately commented about how this wasn’t true, as it would be an unusual way for a superstar to retire during his prime years. However, it did set us up for the possibility of a delay, as CVV discussed on the podcast.
As soon as Roman Reigns returns, he is expected to want his throne back from his younger cousin, which may cause a feud between them. During this feud, Solo Sikoa will have a backup from the members of the current Bloodline, including the Tongans and Jacob Fatu. This would make it a 4 v 1 situation which wouldn’t be fair to The Tribal Chief.

So, when he is forcefully kicked out of The Bloodline, he can reunite with The Usos. To make the chances of winning back The Bloodline fair, we may see Sami Zayn joining them since they already share a past together. Considering the fact that Solo Sikoa brought many changes to The Bloodline after Reigns’ absence, the latter won’t be happy and things could get ugly.
