Is Roman Reigns' return too soon, or is he exactly what WWE needs right now?

During Roman Reigns‘ absence after WrestleMania XL, Solo Sikoa took on the lead role within The Bloodline. However, the Original Tribal Chief made his return at SummerSlam, attacking Sikoa. That said, some believe his return was premature. SummerSlam 2024 concluded with a Bloodline Rules match for the undisputed WWE title.

The American Nightmare was victorious over Solo Sikoa, with the help of the Tribal Chief. Roman Reigns made his return at SummerSlam and, unsurprisingly, focused on Solo Sikoa instead of Cody Rhodes.

On his Hall of Fame podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. talked about Roman Reigns’ return at SummerSlam. The WWE Hall of Famer stated that he believes Reigns’ return was premature and could have happened a little later. But still claimed that he felt it was a surprise and excited him.

He said, “Man, I loved it, but I thought it was a little premature, man. I thought Roman could have used a couple more weeks off, you know. But no, I didn’t expect it. It was totally unexpected for me. I did not see that coming. It was a pleasant surprise, though. I’m seeing Roman back in the fold. Now Roman’s playing a different role for the fans, the cheering for him. That’s a little bit different. So I want to see how it play out. But I was excited.”

Roman Reigns has been confirmed to be making an appearance on the August 9 show of Friday Night SmackDown, so we’ll have to wait and see what the Tribal Chief will have to say on the show. At the moment, Roman Reigns’ role in this show is unknown, but it is expected to address the current situation of Bloodline, with Solo Sikoa leading a group consisting of Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. But while Booker T believes that the former WWE Universal champion’s return was premature, he believes it would be the perfect time for some departing WWE superstars to make an impact on a different promotion.

Booker T wants to see a reunion of The Hurt Business in TNA

Bobby Lashley and MVP are in their final days as members of the WWE roster. Although with Lashley, nothing is ruled out yet. MVP’s case seems safer because he has even said goodbye on social media. The duo and the fans have been asking for a reunion of The Hurt Business. But it never ended up happening. So now the option of doing it in another company is presented by the WWE Hall of Famer.

During an episode of his podcast, Booker T commented that the ideal would be to form this faction again between MVP, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin in TNA. In addition, Booker proposed that Moose be chosen as the fourth member. Especially since Cedric Alexander is still in WWE. He said, “Just imagine if they did go there, and perhaps it’d be Shelton, MVP; they add Moose. Then you got the new Hurt Business. New and improved. Mew power generation Hurt Business. The reason I say that is because it’s not so saturated in TNA, where these guys will be seen and highlighted on a weekly basis. That’s what I see.”

At the moment, little can be said about the future of Bobby Lashley and MVP outside of WWE. Their contracts have not yet expired. Although they will do so in a matter of days. Shelton Benjamin, on the other hand, is a free agent, and since he has been in this situation, there are people in AEW who have pushed to hire him. Although, so far, it has not happened. So what do you think of Booker T’s idea? Let us know in the comments.
