Can Roman Reigns' return reignite the Bloodline saga, or has the magic already faded?

Bad blood is brewing! WWE fans have been waiting to hear a word from Roman Reigns; Especially after Solo Sikoa took control of The Bloodline, followed by brutally beating up Paul Heyman. And the Friday Night SmackDown gave people a hint at what’s to come. The show closed with a video that delved into this story, leaving several questions in the process.

In it, we saw Solo Sikoa holding the Samoan necklace with which he was crowned last week. He revealed that it was a Ula Fala- the ceremonial necklace that crowns him as the ‘Tribal Chief. He claimed that Roman Reigns wasn’t man enough to defend their title at WrestleMania. He wasn’t man enough to defend the Anoa’i legacy against Cody Rhodes. And that he no longer deserves to call himself ‘The Tribal Chief’. Sikoa further revealed his master plan, which was to take back the Undisputed WWE Championship to The Bloodline’s clutches from Rhodes.

And experts have shared their thoughts about what could happen next. In the latest edition of the Busted Open Podcast, right before Money in the Bank, Denise Salcedo and Mark Henry sat together to talk about everything that happened in the aforementioned edition of SmackDown. And according to Mark Henry, the Tribal Chief might return in a few weeks.

And he said that Paul Heyman might need a couple more weeks to nurse his wounds, but once he’s done, he might return and bring the Tribal Chief along with him. As the two hosts talked about it, Mark Henry said, “I would love for him to come back tonight so we could have him at SummerSlam.” Denise Salcedo agreed with the sentiment as she said, “Wow, man, when you think about it, Summer Slam is only a month away. So yeah, less than a month away because it’s on the 3rd.”

The WWE legend then outlined the return timeline by stating, “You need to have some building time. And you know, like Paul Heyman, you know, give him a couple of more weeks to nurse his wounds and see how things start to transpire.”

Based on these statements, it seems likely that Reigns will make a move ahead of his rumored return at WWE SummerSlam. Possibly taking advantage of a major WWE loophole to recruit Jimmy and Jey Uso in his fight against the Bloodline. Maybe even Zilla Fatu or Hikuleo could join him to even things out against the Bloodline 2.0, which has someone like Jacob Fatu as the enforcer. So it will surely be tough for the original Tribal Chief.

Have an interesting take?

He would have to work hard on recruiting his preferred allies, but it won’t come easy because of the atrocities he has committed against them. Heyman may use his alluring words to some effect, but in the end, Reigns will have to do the penance required to make his allies trust him. Nevertheless, one thing is for sure: this would be one of the greatest storylines by the WWE. However, this is one more thing that we need to look at.

At WWE Money In The Bank, Solo Sikoa pinned Rhodes. This was his first victory as the new Tribal Chief. Although it wasn’t a singles match for the Universal Championship, Sikoa and his other members of the Bloodline did manage to tell the world that their faction would achieve the same soon.

Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu successfully beat up Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton. Also, this was Jacob Fatu’s WWE debut match and his first match since March.

Post this win for The Bloodline, the commentary team highlighted how Solo Sikoa wanted the Undisputed WWE Championship. And that’s what he seems to be aiming for. Let’s not forget that the Sikoa-Rhodes storyline will take time to develop.

However, it seems like an obstacle might pop up before that can happen. Roman Reigns might put a dent in Solo Sikoa’s aspirations, as he might soon make his much-anticipated return.
